Nah, the real id has some extra tamper protection or some nonsense. If you want to fly you'll need a real id or passport. Might as well just get the real id anyways.

Nope fuck that, I can do the 10 year renewal online or physically go to the NH DMV... I've made my choice!

This real ID stuff makes me mad, like the fact you need this special government identification document to fly, but don’t need anything for more important things. But this is not the place for that conversation.

Funny story about the real id's.. when I moved up to NH I went to transfer from my MA license (real ID) to a NH one... I wanted to get a NH Real ID but they wouldn't accept my MA Real ID as a form of identification for the NH Real ID application. I literally had to go all the way home to get my SS ID card because I only had my passport card on me. Completely pointless to have a real id....

Also as someone who flies all the time I got my MA Real ID last year at AAA, just walked in and got it done in 15 minutes of paperwork/photograph/etc.

If I fly I will have my passport with me.

Get that Rago mount. It's just like my BAMF mount that they make for 2nd gens.

@CttAznRanger What do you already have and what radio system are you trying to set up? I decided to abort mission on my CB setup, the use-case is so minimal for me, I'll get a handheld if I really need it.

I don't have the Rago but I have the cali-raised. Similar mount. Likewise I have the spring + 3 ft firestick tuneable, plus the radio still too actually if you need a whole setup

PLUS I actually do still have another 3 ft firestick in the packaging still. Amazon sent me two.

I’ve already got a setup, bought it off of David. I already had the Cali Raised mounts, so I gave the mount to my buddy Jeff. It’s already set up, but I might go with a quick release for ease of use and whatnot

I don't have a QR but I had the spring, that just threads on and off. Keep the box wrench in the truck for car washes, easy in easy out! :D

HD spring for the win! The Med duty spring allows for too much regular movement of the antenna and stress on the mount. The HD spring only moves when you hit a branch or whatever offroad.

Yeah, but then I have that cable dangling around the tailgate.
I believe the one I have is the HD spring. Still flings around a lot at speed, but I will look around for stuff, see what's around.

Mines only a 3 ft antenna and I had a soft topper on there, so I didn't see much bounce.
