Picked up my new 2021 Cement DCSB TRDOR w/Premium, Advanced Tech, and LED lights on Tuesday! Excited to have it since I sold my Tundra back on 04/01 and have only had my motorcycle to commute on for the last few months. Loving the truck so far! Worth the wait. Here is the breakdown:

"Ordered": 04/06/2021
Allocated: 04/20/2021
Deposit: 05/14/2021
Built: 06/18/2021 in Baja
Arrived/Picked Up in Denver: 06/22/2021

 

Built on 6/18 and delivered only 4 days after that!
I'm also in Denver and my build date is 7/9. Dealer was telling me 2-3 weeks for delivery after the build date, but your timeline is giving me hope for a faster delivery date!

 

Yeah, 4 days is bananas! Must have been the last one on the boat and thus first off & onto ground transportation.

 

It was a very nice surprise. I was quoted 2-3 weeks as well, but it arrived much faster. Fingers crossed yours gets here sooner as well! My sales guy said they have definitely seen shipping/transport times improve over the last few weeks.

 

Temporary VIN stopped working yesterday so I assume this means the truck either started to get built or finished building? Haven't heard back anything from my dealership regarding a permanent VIN. How long do folks usually wait from VIN stopping to work until delivery?

That is what happened with mine. The temp VIN worked until the day it was built. After that, my dealer gave me a real VIN a few days later, and delivery (To the Colorado region) was 2-3 weeks after that. Obviously if your delivery region is much farther (such as the east coast) delivery times will vary, but your dealer should be able to give you an estimate.

 

As mentioned earlier ordered May 14/2021 and arrived June 23/2021- 5 1/2 weeks I thought that was reasonable. I was under the impression that it was built in Mexico but when I looked at the VIN number started with a 5 which means it was built in the U.S.A probably at the Texas Plant. I really don't care where it was built as long as I got it that counts. Pick it up Tomorrow.

 

I don't think I realized just how long 8 to 12 weeks really was...

 

Im on week 9 and honestly just at a point of waiting for the 2022. They stopped the color code for lunar rock in my area June 4 and haven’t heard anything back from the dealer. So on to the next one.

I see your situation is totally different so hopefully for you it’s not much longer.

 

I love cement also, so would've been happy either way!!

 

Yeah, he said to give it a couple days for an estimated dealer delivery so hopefully it's on its way soon! Hope yours works out soon!!

 

On week 13 here, supposed to be here in 2-3 more weeks, getting closer... patience is waning.

 

I emailed some dealers what I was looking for (TRD off-road, cement, DCLB, leather seats) in early Nov of 2020 and one had one being built in Dec. I paid a little extra for multi terrain monitoring and some blackout emblems and floor mats, but got it a month later. I’m very happy with it. I paid MSRP minus $500 for Toyota incentives in San Diego Ca, area. No dealers were going below MSRP that I could find in the area.

 

Yes it can happen both ways when trading allocation though you have to have something that is at least equal or greater in value to agree on the trade.

 

The temp vin stopped working this morning!!
