I couldn't believe there are no wreckers in my area with any 1st gen tacos in the yard. I can't even find much in province. I need to pull an entire A/C system - hoses, evaporator, electronics etc. so I don't have an option other than to source it from a parts truck. Doing a search on car-part.com gave me a few within 200km but only one (Cookstown Auto) has an actual truck in an actual yard, a 2004 with the engine pulled so a lot of stuff I need won't be there. Are there any hidden gems out there I might not know about? I'm in Hamilton but looking for anything between Windsor and Ottawa - I need this friggin AC before it gets nuts here.

Out here it's rare to find 1st gen Tacomas in junkyards or pick & pull yards. 5lugs pop up once in awhile but not 6 lug Prerunners/4x4s. They are usually bought and sent to yards that specialize in Toyotas and parted out there.

So you have a parts truck or there's a junkyard up there? If I can't find anything closer I'll take you up on it. Needs to be a 4 cylinder.

Thanks! I set up a recurring search on Kenny U-Pull. I was searching for my year (2002) before and they seem to separate the '95-'00 from the '01-'04 model years. I'm going to need some parts (evaporator, heater panel) from a 2001 or up, but it looks like a lot of it will work from the 2000 (compressor, pulley, etc.) so between that and the 2004 with the engine pulled, I may be able to piece together a system.
