Replacing my fogs with DD ss3's this weekend. Down through the top of the engine bay or up through the fender liner?

Any tips or is it pretty damn straight forward as far as working around the fender liner?

 

It’s straight forward once you start messing around with it. It’s been a while since I had fender liners though

Don't listen to @SearArtist, he hasn't touched his Tacoma in years.

Personally I like taking the 5 seconds and pulling the grill (I also like to put masking tape where it sits onto the front bumper - takes 5 seconds to pull the grill off but always have trouble putting it back on). I would mount the SS3's in their mounts tight, but make sure you can still move them on the truck a little bit for adjusting. They hold in there with 1 screw. Once you have them adjusted, pull them out and crank them back down, re-install, and test for polarity before you put the grill on.

PS: With that said, if you don't have fender liners, it's easier from the bottom.
