Sorry, tried the search but came up with a lot of not what I'm looking for. Will a 2nd gen topper fit a 3rd gen, short bed? Thanks in advance!

    Tailgate is different.

I have heard it will fit, but the rear cab window angle is not the same.
I CAN say that any mounting hardware will be different as the rails are much lower on the 3rd than on 2nd. (I know this due to bed cover - I have 2nd Gen on 3rd Gen).
    I’d surmise you’d be happier with a 3rd Gen…

Second gen has a lower bedside and tailgate that doesn’t line up with bedside. Third gen has a taller bedside with a tailgate that lines up with the bedside.

Thanks all! I wonder if anyone has a pic so I can see where the differences are?
