Hey, I’m really sorry about hurting your feels Bald Monkey. And thanks for the the lesson on Douche Jersey. I mean, I only lived there the first twenty three years of my life so I have no clue what it’s REALLY like. No really, thanks for that informed insight on the crown jewel of douchey states. I mean, Ive only visited just about every single state in the country since leaving so I really have no clue as to how the folks everywhere else compare. I’ve also lived in virtually every geographic region the country has to offer, but again have no clue as to how the place compares to them. And your instant defensiveness is definitely not indicative that there is something to it’s reputation for douchebaggery. So bravo for setting me straight. You are the perfect example of what I think of when I think back to that shit-hole. . .:rofl::rofl:

By the way, I’ll post about anything I feel like posting about regardless of what some dickhead like you thinks about it. GFY…

Welcome to my ignore list you POS…

For the rest of you guys thanks for the information. It’s been very helpful…

Since companies such as Varoom, Carvana and Carmax stay in business by purchasing vehicles at a lower price than they sell them for, you can typically sell your vehicle on your own and get more, that's if you don't mind the effort and are reasonably good at it.

While you can find examples to the contrary, Carmax and Carvana typically pay more than Varoom but more importantly they pay when the receive the vehicle, where you have to wait for your money from Varoom.

Just recently sold my G37 to carvana and it was painless. The nice thing about them is you get a quote without entering any email or phone numbers. If you agree to the price quoted, then you have to enter your info and attach a pic of the title, odometer reading and your drivers licence. They responded two days later later and I scheduled a time for a rep. to come out the next day. The rep. showed up and did a basic look at the car and went forward and back in my driveway and said ok to go and I signed some papers and they handed me a check(they will do bank transfers too). It took all of fifteen minutes. The rep locked the car and said a wrecker would be there soon to take it away. wrecker came a few hours later and took the car. They also give you the option to drop it off at their location, but it was over an hour from me.

I would also bring the highest quote for your car with you if you are shopping for a new vehicle and are considering trading it in. Gives you some leverage.

If you're just looking to dump it as easy as a morning turd you cant beat it.....or whomever offers to get it with the least mount of bullshit.

A buddy sold his car for about three grand more than what others were offering, he's in a remote area and they came with a flatbed and took it away, imperfections and all.

Actually many folks here own RAVs, Highlander's, Camry's and gasp........... other marquees as well. Tacomas are nice light duty trucks, but not the end all of transportation options.

Plus his question regarding Carvana and other as businesses applies, regardless of what vehicle you are selling

The dealer always wins on a trade in. If they didn't, they wouldn't do it.

But you are correct, if you are a trader, it might help you out if you show them 'after' you've negotiated your best deal

And Vroom’s contract states they can change the price AFTER they’ve already taken possession of your vehicle. That is completely unacceptable. Either pay on the spot when you get the title and keys, or get the fuck outta here.

A neighbor of mine just sold their Audi and it was a super easy process. If you’re looking to sell you can also try Driveway.com

I’m not sure how smooth the process is but they actually offered me 4K more than Carvana for my 2016

So to wrap this up, I finalized the paperwork and scheduled an appointment with Carvana to come and get the car Friday morning. Pretty quick and painless operation. Easy to deal with, I would definitely recommend them. I’ll post again after they pick up the car just to be sure it all goes as planned but so far it’s been very smooth.

Keep us updated. I am interested in this thing mentioned where they can change the price. Is that correct?

I suppose if you greatly exaggerated or misrepresented the condition of the vehicle they probably could or would. They’ve never seen my car. All they know is what I said about it. If the guy was to get here tomorrow and find that it was a POS, I’m sure they would not pay what they have offered to pay or even walk away entirely, which would be understandable.

I’m not worried in the least because the car is exactly as described in cherry condition. I even had it detailed for them today and the Detailers were amazed at the shape it’s in.

Now if they were to pull shenanigans and try to lower the price tomorrow on some sort of weak pretext that would be a whole other story and I’d be the one walking awY, trust me you’ll hear about it here.

Based on what I’ve read here and how it’s gone so far though, I’m not concerned at all.

Carvana seems to have gone to shit in my area and I have a local store near me. There offer is $10000 less than Vroom currently.

Yup just last week.Actually was Carmax.
Dealer offered me $4000 for my 09 OR with 160K . I tried Carvana, came back at $6900. Carmax offered me $8400 so I went that route. Plus I liked that there would be no surprises with the quote since Im at a physical location with my truck. I could always cancel and walk away if they started some nonsense.
They have a location 30 min away where I had to bring it.
They did a 25 min inspection, I signed the paperwork and walked out with check. Took maybe an hour total. Easy peasy. My truck was far from perfect, but they stood by their quote so Im happy.

Just like most said, very easy and painless to buy and sell. Now isn't the best time to sell to buy another car. But its the best time to sell if you just need to get ride of the car.

I got four different quotes and they were the best. Very easy to deal with and they are coming here this morning to pick it up. I didn’t have to do anything other than provide the information on the car. They didn’t even ask for pictures other that the vin, odometer and my driver’s license. It’s been pretty painless so far. We’ll see how it goes in a couple of hours when they inspect the car and take it for a test drive. If they try to haggle with me I’ll be pissed but if they come up with the cash price as agreed I have zero complaints.
