I never noticed any MPG loss, toyota already sucks at the efficiency so a little less is nothing to worry about. I get around 14-16 MPG

Mines not a dd so wouldn’t be a huge deal, I wonder if it’s worth the trouble to convert to manual locking hubs.

I started getting the p0500 code recently and my speedo works, as well as the 4 wheel sensors. After getting an alignment and a zero point calibration, by slip light comes on and steering angle sensor won't initialize, giving me the c1445 code. My truck is also a manual and I replaced the combo meter after reading on here that it's a common cause for the p0500.

Do you know where the VSS gets the speed from on the manual? Speed sensor on the transmission/tcase? I'm going nuts trying to track this down since when I get over 62mph my ABS and Brake lights come on and the speedo cuts off. Not getting a Vehicle Speed reading from my ODBLINK.

i have ADD and that’s what mileage I get. I’m gonna burn an entire tank tomorrow, can I safely flip on ADD and drive with it on all day? Would like to test MPGs, I really wanna weld my tube to always on, I forget to flip the switch when I shift pretty often lol

I only see the transfer case actuator and the 3 wires going to it. There's something on the passenger side of the transmission but not sure what I'm looking for. Do you have a pic, diagram, or part number? Its a 2014.

Is yours a manual or auto? Manuals only have it at the tcase.

That's what mine looks like. I don't see a sensor. Where does the speed reading come from then?

Yes at some point they got rid of the tcase sensor. Probably for the 2.5 (12-15) trucks. Maybe if someone has a 2011 can confirm.

Ok, does anyone know if the vehicle speed comes from the front or rear ABS sensors on 12-15?

it is an averaging circuit that uses all of them, it is developed in the skid control ECU.
