I ended up with a different colour front drivers fender thanks to a deer. Paint code 4P7 Mystic Gold Metallic was hard to match up.

I peaked under a second GEN for sale today at a Toyota dealership. It had a yucky frame with that black coating peeling off. Funny how dealers never show pictures of the undercarriage.

@TjAeCeOpMAmiah guessed this was the problem. Spot on

I think it is the AC compressor clutch face plate. The melted part.

We replaced this and the bearing it sits in. Also the lower idler pulley, as it was making a slight noise.

    AC all fixed. :bananadance:

    No.

We simply got the AC compressor clutch face plate off, and the bearing the belt and it ride on. The bearing was toast.

Put new ones on. Ensure it was spaced correctly, as it is magnetically engaged. All Fixed.

We did not touch the AC compressor it self or the AC lines.

Anyone have a line for an AGM 27F battery? I’m due for a replacement and having a hard time finding one. Saskbattery is back ordered for months.

    Mostly stock for now...
Mine stopped working a few months ago - checked to make sure the clutch and pulleys were moving freely and then got a R1234YF charge kit from Princess Auto - hooked up the gauge and pressure was low - gave it a shot of juice and we've got nice cold air again - It was a little annoying because if Toyota used old fashioned R134 I could have checked pressures and filled it at work for free...

pretty sure there is a group buy going on if you aren't aware, might be able to save some money on it if they don't fly off the shelves before the group buy closes!
