    probably both
it’s a strongman implement that we call a “Hussafel”, named after a famous ancient Icelandic manhood stone. It’s good for conditioning, making everything hurt at once, and getting rid of that pesky skin on your wrists and forearms.

Just as a general update, but especially for you @PackCon, the MRI revealed a partial tear and scar tissue in the distal bicep tendon and a significant amount of tendinopathy in the bicep tendon and extensor tendon. So at least a couple of months more rest in hopes of avoiding surgery. Haven’t lifted since April!

Surgery is quite a bit of risk and anesthesia is hard on your body. I develop a new allergy or issue every surgery I have. Its a ton of stress.

BUT my patients would have reached the end of conservative treatment by now lol.

I applaud you for being able to hang in there.

Thanks man. It’s tough because I know that once the recovery period after surgery was over, I would be good to go. But I would be in a sling for 2 months and then PT for another 2-3 months after that. Doc said full recovery could take up to a year. Hopefully it gets better before then we it’s just rest.

Sucks but best to avoid surgery unless nothing else is going to help. My wife tried for close to a year to rehab her neck/shoulder issues..ending up in a double discectomy 6 weeks ago.

    Is it your dominant hand?

Sling does suck, but its a royal suck if its your right arm and your right handed.

Driving sucks then. I was able to compensate driving pretty well with my left hand in a sling.

    Whelp.

First week as a personal bitch is done.

13,000lbs of beer lifted, 2200 lbs of kegs hauled to be cleaned, 800lbs of rock salt hauled, and 500lbs of yeast dumped.

Left arm, noN-dominant. Good thing I traded my Tacoma in though. It was a manual and that would’ve been a bitch if I do have to get surgery.

One silver lining at least. My wife had her right shoulder done about 10 years ago so that wasn't happening for a couple of weeks. Pretty funny she got cleared to drive 2.5 weeks after this latest surgery, so far she's only done a few times since June 1st and half the time with me in case it's too much.

That would be tough! Is she recovering well otherwise?

So far yes, thank you :)..I think she's ahead of schedule if anything.

Blows my mind, I dropped her off Friday May 14 at 5AM and picked her up Saturday May 14 at 5PM. She had the C4 and C5 discs removed and replaced in that time, I think 4-5 hour surgery. Technology is amazing..

Not being able to drive would kill me..twice in my younger years I was unable to, 4 months and 6 weeks within a year of each other..and that was torture
