    Winched out? Yes. One time I buried a Honda 300 4x4 to the top of the fenders in black stinky mud. I pulled out the winch only to find it too short (less than 15’). I had shortened it because that cheap ass winch bound with 50’ of cable. So I had to pull diagonally while dealing with a skipping winch and holding the throttle. I got out but it was a chore.

    Reminds me of people who enquire about family photo sessions, ":eek: WHAT??? It's $200, and then $25-60 per pictures? :annoyed: But... at Wal-mart, I can get it for $69.99 with a whole bunch of prints!!! Why are you so much more expensive?"

    Hmmm... I don't know... almost 40 years of experience, north of $30K worth of gear that can be used, a professional print lab run by experienced TECHNICIANS using top-end materials... Huh... no reason I guess.

    Stuck: All my property is on a side hill by the way.
    Back in my youth I got a garden tractor with cart stuck, I slid off the muddy trail turning around up in the woods. :mad:
    Walked 1/4 mile back to the house and got the Jeep J10 truck, backed down the trail to pull the GT out -- slid off the trail.:annoyed:

    Walked 1/4 mile back to the house (again) and got a come along, and commenced to ratchet the truck and GT 80 feet, remember a come along only pulls 3-4 feet per set. :ballchain:
    It was a long afternoon. :bananadead:

    About the only time I got stuck it was going in some place to rescue some clueless.

    Then it took a 60 Ton winch to get me back to solid ground Good to have friends with the equipment .

    In my younger days getting stuck was the modern version of the Horses getting loose and wandering away

    I asked one of the welder dudes to see if he would help me build a fixture to machine a 30 degree angle on some large weld coupons. I gave him just my idea/thoughts and he whipped this out. It may work, might have to make a special toe clamp. Or we might start fresh, same principle but larger/beefier 20210625_063117.jpg
