    Why did it matter if tailgate was down then?? Is there some other switch for tailgate in 20&21?? You said"Mine turn off after a period of time if all of the doors are closed even if the tailgate is down. To keep them on you need to use the switch on the dash"

    The molle panels use the bed rail screws and some of the bed storage compartment screws. Dont worry if you dont have the drivers side storage compartment. You can just use the bed rail screws and it secure enough. Search rough country molle panels in YouTube and you can see more details about them and the install.

    I was curious what my local dealership was selling the OEM bedlights for as it's something I've been looking for. $399.99 - no that's not a typo. Okay, so what about the OEM auto tailgate lock? $399.99.

    I'm going to be calling them a stealership from now on because FFS.

    I was saying it did’t matter. The lights staying on was keyed to an open door or the dash switch. Once all of the doors were closed mine turns off after a short time. If I wanted it to stay on, I would have to leave a door open (probably times out still, but after longer time period) or turn on the switch. Someone else suggested leaving the tailgate down.

    This is fucking brilliant! I'm getting my 2023 Double Cab SR5 V6 4x4 today or Monday and it's not clear to me if bed lights are standard or what the deal is there. Some sources say it is, some say it's an add-on. In either case, this cheap solution solves the problem! Thank you!

    When I bought my 2020 sr5 I asked about having bed lights when I ordered the truck. Dealer claimed they come with them. Maybe because I had ordered a tech package, and tonneau cover?...idk.

    Yeah, I'm not clear on that. I'll report back and let everyone know. Seems to me on a $40K truck those would be on all packages. Mine has the tech package but I don't see the bed lights addressed:

    I think the bed lights suck! Wonder if they will die from the mud before I smash them putting stuff in the bed :mad: Worst port installed option ever!!
