Lots of holes the past couple days, came away with one 1903 indian head penny, an old lock, a sterling cufflink and a bunch of the usual random junk.

that penny is cool. What is the shiny long piece with writing on it in the lower right part of the photo, about 5 items from the right? It looks like a closed pocket knife.

    Whoops....good call

Yes that is a suspender clasp. I think it may have never been used, it is unusually shiny because the plating is still all there, which i have never seen before. Here is a pic with some of the others i have found20210625_083412.jpg

Nice collection! Those clasps are somewhat common. I have found a few, but most are not in good condition so I don’t keep them.

Been working on getting my rig back up and running.

I'm gonna need to take it to a shop to do the bottom end because I just don't live where (i.e. at a place) and/or have the resources to do the work myself.

My trust in shops is SUPER LOW at this point.

A friend of mine has a friend that owns a shop and I will likely take it there soon. At least I'm taking it to a shop where someone knows the shop themselves, if that makes any sense? Or put differently, I'm not taking it to a "random guy/shop", if you will.

First off that suspenders clasp was pretty cool. So if that’s part of a harmonica, I wonder why it’s engraved “the last made?” That would make it really special, wouldn’t it?

The place I used to work had a handmade tile roof from back in the 20s, and when it was being reroofed they found one tile that was also marked as “the last one” with a date, the guy’s name and you could see his fingerprints on it.

As for that old Toyota pickup your fixing up @WileECoyote, do a good job on that thing- it’s may be worth a lot! A friend of mine just paid $20k for a 1986 access cab 4x4, it was in good shape but did have some modifications and wasn’t entirely stock. I was shocked at the price, we sold our clean ‘85 about 15 years ago for just $2500 and it had less than 90k miles on it…doh!!

Yeah, it's "running" right now. I told the guy it has low oil pressure according to the shop.

He wants to "listen" to how the engine is running before towing just to get an idea of what he's looking at.

I expressed that the sound I heard needs to be found out too because I know what I heard and felt.

Anyways, I swear, if more damage comes to my engine keep your eyes glued to the TV for a 5150 on the loose!!! I swear I'm gonna lose it this time around!!! I'm tired of people's crap these days in not doing things right and just all about $$$ in their pockets.

Keep you guys posted on what is eventually found out.

    But yeah, been pretty busy.

Now my Civic is throwing a P0340 code. This Sunday, I'm just gonna do the timing belt, water pump, belts, valve cover, and replace the sensor.
