Had to sell my 17 Tacoma for a tow rig in order to pull my new home. Still here for a bit to keep in touch.
Ive got the 17th chiseled in stone. "Thinking our old school homemade mac & cheese, and of course some cash to help out with expenses"

Working out details but Hood river on the 10th is a good possibility for me.

Oof, it's all plastic there right?

Think you'll be able to hammer it out? I would maybe do it this weekend after leaving it in the sun with triple digit weather, the plastic will be more pliable

With alittle heat you should be able to pop that right out. I did it on my old OEM bumper before I went aluminum with a hair drier and on my buddy’s GX with a heat gun on low. Warm it up and push from behind, these plastic bumpers are surprisingly good at popping back out.

@TheOnlyPajooned is totally right, you might actually not need a heat gun to do it this weekend.

Thanks for the ideas fellas. I’m almost to Moab so I have plenty of heat to spare. Funny thing is it’s exactly on the cut line of most of the bumpers I like, and the wife said “I guess this gives you a reason to fancy up your truck.” So I’m going to lean into her idea lol

I went out to Posy Canyon OHV today. Scouting some more for our meet up on the 10th. Also got a chance to test out my new suspension and put the new sliders to work :D :D

I took a video of one of the trails. Give you guys an idea of the area if you have never been out there.

    https://youtu.be/v9YWv6YuOZE

There are not a ton of trails there like there are in Browns. There are some fun ones though. Looking forward to getting out there with you all.

Also made it up to Mt Defiance for the first time. Tried a few times before, but snow kept me from making it. No snow at all that I could find today.

Nice work on the homework! I'm hoping to actually make this next meet up for a change.

I've only hiked it, never driven but it's kinda funny how anticlimactic the top of Mt Defiance is. You get to the top of the highest point in the gorge to be tree'd in with nothing but a view of some radio towers.

Awesome, hope you can make it!

It was disappointing. My third try to make it there this year. Get up there and it was ruined by the radio tower. The big "Private Property" signs didn't help the vibe either. Gaia showed another trail headed out the other side, and that is gone also. Would have been more disappointing if I had hiked up there for sure. I was thinking about leading the group up there, but after making it up, I am not sure it's worth the trip.

On an unrelated note, anyone here good with CBs? I have mine installed and I have been fighting with it trying to get a good SWR. Fairly sure my ground is the problem, but I cannot figure out how to fix it. If someone with more experience setting them up was willing to meet up and help me troubleshoot in person, beer is on me :D

Yeah every time I've hiked Defiance it's been with the mentality that it's a training hike for climbing. The main thing it has going for it is that it's the only hike in the area with 5,000 feet of elevation gain that doesn't involve summiting a volcano.

For the CB I can't claim to be an expert by any means but when I set mine up I had similar issues. I went as far as adding ground wires between every body panel and the frame (didn't help any). What did end up helping was stepping up to a longer antenna (exact same model, just longer). I went from a 3' to a 4' Wilson flex and that drastically improved my SWR readings. It still wasn't perfect but solidly in the good enough range. For reference my antenna is on a hood hinge mount on the passenger side. Sucks to buy more parts but it might be worth a shot.
