    Fortunately, I don't have long runs. Just under 9' is my longest for the side with the handrail. I dropped the handrail to ensure it lined up with the 1st course on the porch section. 9 courses on the porch and 8 on the handrail. 3.5" spacing. 4" is code. Math is a wonderful thing. Still have to attach the cap on the handrail. They installed the LED lights after I wrapped up things. There's a groove in the top of each horizontal 2x4 for the wire.
