Sorry I'm not too familiar with gearing
Yessir. Bought it from another guy years ago for my other truck. I remember it was from a 2wd, but it's been sitting on the shelf for so long that I forgot what ratio it was

I don't believe so. The first 2 were up near Georgetown, the second was across the valley from the Collegiate Peaks near Salida.

Sounds like a good time! Its hard to go wrong with CO I think. I didn't really even plan the trip, just showed up with a trail book and some camping gear

What part are you planning to go to ?

Ok now that the old head unit actually works, I need to justify a purchase of the new unit and dash and rear cam.

I'm going to be driving over 1,000 miles to Colorado at the end of July. I can use a better source for music like Spotify, MP3, Android Auto. Built in GPS can't hurt.

Because I'll be rubber necking scenery while trying to drive, I think the DRV502 continuous loop dash cam may keep me from driving over a cliff and getting killed.

Going to stay in Silverton for the first few days. Then on to Ouray for a couple of days. Just seeing the Rockies will be a mind blowing experience.

Silverton and Ouray are fantastic. The road between them is exciting all on its own even. Enjoy!

    I have mods
While I won't suggest the Atoto HU that I have (it's rather slow to do things and Chinese built, but it works), I do suggest going to a full-on Android head unit. I love being able to tether to my cell phone and use google maps for navigation while listening to Pandora via Bluetooth. I also use OnX Offroad for the offroad adventures. Probably the most use of a head unit for other than music that I have ever gotten. I haven't added a dash cam or rear view cam to it yet but both can be done. It's basically an Android tablet with regular stereo shit attached.

Good to know. I have one of the Kenwoods in the link lined up for installation next Friday. This will be my first Kenwood car audio experience.

    https://www.kenwood.com/usa/car/excelon/dmx907s/

I sold a bunch of Kenwood integrated amp and tuner combos back in the day. Most of these old integrated amps are still running -- somewhere.

You're talking solid state, high current amps from back in the day though

That's not what's making them tighter. You're just getting fat with being married and all

I think the only thing I regret is not bringing back some of my audiophile gear when I left Chitown.

Left some Magneplanar speakers, modded Moscode, Adcom gear, and more... :violent:
