I don't yolo my IRA man. That said, I put $5900 into those SPCE JUL 16 $35 calls. They will return some coin for me. My non-YOLO plays on NVDA also have netted me $148K YTD. Not bad for a dude that didn't start saving for retirement until 7 years ago. lol

    1. holy shit that’s impressive.

    2. you are a prime example of saving isn’t always better by default. Some people save and never learn to navigate the market.

My plan is to do both. Or at least try and learn to navigate the market with some efficiency.
I don’t think that many 18 year olds have 2 years worth of contributions in their Roth as well as a normal account with almost equal that amount.

    Thanks man.

The fact that your already saving is incredibly impressive. Not many guys your age even consider it. Congrats to your parents for instilling that in you. Keep doing what your doing and there's a strong chance you'll be able to retire incredibly early. As you grow that account just remember to set aside most of it for safe, stable growth. Then allow yourself to play with 10% a year for speculative plays.

His "Keep buying next months calls" for $NVDA coincided with the most epic run up ever...It was probably a twice in a lifetime opportunity...
The other of course being $GME... :)

It's a yearly thing with NVDA. They always go up. The trick is to know them well enough to realize when they are down and get in. I just went back and bought up my NVDA gains from 1-2019 to present. It's pretty impressive. Also, my 2 year gains in my IRA are now at 410%. Are you impressed yet? lol

Nice run up or not, still impressive. I tried to buy shares in march of 2020 but my account was still a "minor account" which meant parents had control over my funds. I was told NVDA was too risky. They said half goes to a mutual fund and the other half could be put in AAPL. I wanted to do Half NVDA half TSLA. My parents are at the point they invest for dividends so they were using that mentality when restricting what I could buy in march 2020. They admitted to me they should've let me do what I wanted. Still a nice 100% on AAPL. Argued over that one too. Dad said buy MSFT since he's a loyalist after working there for 16 years. At least I was able to buy something.
It's amazing a house can be that nice and still have ugly wallpaper. If I moved in I'm ripping it off instantly.

i had it a few ways while I was out there. It was mediocre at best from in n out. It wasn’t bad by a long shot (Dairy Queen was actually bad).

I will say that even with the whole local vs locale thing factored in - in n out was shenanigans. I’m not saying whataburger is gourmet or five guys is the best food I’ve ever eaten. They’re all as expected fast food burgers.

but in rankings - whataburger and five guys are above in n out. TBD on the shake shack.

(I’m not including McDonald’s Burger King etc which are, shockingly, below all the other above. Although above Dairy Queen - dq was that bad).

Kings in, power brake bbk installed with stainless steel lines, fender trim cleaned up just need to mount the cut black plastic. Finally can go get an alignment, picking up the go fast camper 7/23 and making a lil trip to Montana if any has any recs other than of course glacier.
Magnuson running well, dream build almost complete. First time doing all this stuff so there was a learning curve but damn I’m happy I did/I learned so much.

I think I might regret not going long travel but it’s so damn expensive, maybe one day.

Time for a beer, widespread panic at red rocks tonight. Life is gewd (other than my dogshit 7/2 calls I yolo’d on gme lol). And yes I think we can all collectively say we look up to the boss man @theesotericone options plays haha

Same. If it's simple and works that's all I need. You saw that photo of my flip flops right? Well, most of my shirts, work pants, climbing pants, hell even my socks, look a lot like that. I'll wear shit until it literally falls apart. lol

Nice! I love the wooden clubs, and they look to be in good shape too.

Lol I dig the weekend updates too. Did we pull any outsiders in with the new thread name yet? I wonder if people click it and think there are 34.5k comments debating in n out, 5guys, and what a burger

I have to buy new shoes every 6 months or so. I have to have 2 or 3 rotating pairs or I'll destroy them in 4, and suffer through holes or 0 tread for 2 more months before I get annoyed and buy another pair
