They are a better shock that also gives the ability to lift the front of your truck.

They are adjustable shocks. You can set the ride height. Use the search button and you will find a TON of info on them. Happy reading.:D

    Oh and welcome to TW!

So would the 33's fit if I set them to 2.5?

Even if I got them front & rear? What would I have to do to get the 33's without trimming?

You'll still have rubbing even with the front and rear lifted. You'll have to lift it higher than what the 5100s can go to get those tires and no rub

You need wheels and a higher lift. I have just over 3" of lift with 4.5 BS and I rub.

The 5100s won't give you any lift for the rear. They are only adjustable up front. You need an add a leaf or new leaf packs for lift in the rear.

Strictly speaking, if you don't want to trim anything at all, you would need a 6" lift.

That being said, 3" lift with 33's is a very popular combo. Just need to trim some plastic, and possibly chop the cab mount.

Or go with 32s. I have 275/65/18s(32x11) and no rubbing. Some plastic trimmed but cab mount OK.....

Dumb question but can I use the stock Bilstrein HD for a 3 inch lift if Im just going for looks? Or would it be just waste of time?

You could use them and a coil spacer to achieve lift. However, they were not designed to dampen the stiffer spring rate that the spacers induce.

That being said, plenty of people still do it.
