This is everything that is "tune-able" in vF. Doesn't mean tune packs are available, but there are stock ECU's that could be tuned for everything in this image. Lot's of Tundra stuff coming online.

Don’t know, there are only 2 ECU’s supported and vF sucks at providing a decoder ring as for which ECU # is for which year/model ECU.

Right now it’s basically strong support for 2016+ Tacoma’s, 2007-2019 Tundras, then super spotty support for everything else on the list.

If you want support in the future we could meet up and I could read your ECU/TCU and send it into vF in hopes he eventually gets to it. Software is super powerful, just the guidance and support is severely lacking. Leaves all the treasure hunting up to the user. Which is why I’m posting. I’ve decoded the 2016-2017 (maybe 2018??) 4Runner, some Tundras, and 3rd Gen Tacoma’s, but not much beyond that. There is a reason he got banned from TW and other sites…

    Apologies to hijack here.
I would be keen to get a 3rd gen Tacoma tune. I'm on an OVTune that is like 2-3yrs old at this point. I'd be willing to pay for your time as well. Just curious as to what else is out there tune wise.

I would be nervous that oil particles in the filter would make it to the MAF and create engine air reading issues.

I checked out the Outdoor Adventure Expo today. It was decent. Overlanding is obviously growing. I almost hate saying that word anymore.

There were lots of portable generators that were either solar powered or propane powered. Lots of RTT’s in the mix. Many setups similar to the GFC style. And lots of trailer setups. I guess they are the big thing now. There were some Sprinter vans, but I was surprised to see so many of the larger truck setups that were insane amounts of money, but were nice. Just not my thing.

I think the idea of overlanding (Offroading to camp) has gotten out of hand. For the longest time I would just take our ground tent, little food, stove, and go wheeling and camp along the way. The setups people have now are just crazy. Kinda takes the 'roughing it' out of question. I am guilty of buying a RTT years back, but I found a good deal on a used tent.

I am hoping that the 'fad' dies when people start taking normal vacations again. You can probably find some good deals on things.

Sometimes I go wheeling with the tent and sometimes ill take one of our ground/ backpacking tents instead. If the trail is pretty crazy, Ill leave the tent at home in order to save weight.

I think that the fad really blew-up a couple years before covid was even a thing. But I do think it's reaching the end of its lifecycle just like #vanlife before it. Theres def less "XYZ_Overland" IG usernames than their used to be.

Some of the setups were just insane. They had several that were built in a freightliner chassis. It was listed at 385,000.

I saw one down by Bryce that was built on a Unimog chassis. I have no idea what that would cost, but if a Freightliner is almost $400K then I guess we can extrapolate from there. Gotta have your hot tub in the outback, ya know?

Depends on the age of the unimog and the configuration. Some are far cheaper than others.

Looked brand new to me. Think a hot tub on a new Unimog would be cheap?

"Cheap" is all relative, esp in that class of truck, but yeah it certainly isn't "joe six pack budget" by any stretch to your larger point if it includes a hot tub. You can find older single cab models in the 30K range though which is what I was trying to say about age/config.

US or EU plates? If it looked "brand new", I'd suspect foreign registered since they fall under the 25 year import rule here.

I'd love a 1990's 1600 series if I had an extra 40K laying around. Articulating frame and CTIS
