I am seriously considering and thinking about trading in or selling my 2011 already. If I do, my decision is due to the crappy toyota service. I am not happy with the run around that I am getting with the service department that I bought my truck from. If I can not get anything resolved with the tsb on the rear springs, I really think I am going to get a new silverado. Chevy is still offering 0% right now. I even said this to the service manager that I am not happy with the service run around and that I should have bought a chevy. I told him that if nothing gets done, I will be in a new chevy truck very soon. It is just very disappointing that you pay big money for a new truck and you get treated badly by the people from dealership. This was my first dip into the"foreign" named vehicle pool. Did I make a mistake?

Well the TSB is kinda one of those things that Toyota will do if you complain enough about it. You aren't guaranteed to get the TSB as soon as you walk in the door. The Dealer needs a reason to do it. They try not to because their mechanics don't get paid as much money for warranty work as with practically all dealerships.

You will probably be disappointed with a chevy too. My neighbor's '05 silverado is a pile of garbage.

What else is wrong with the 2011?

Maybe your truck actually doesn't need them? Honestly, if they found that your truck doesn't show any of the signs with the 3 leaf pack then why should they do the TSB?

So you're going to trade your truck in because you're not going to get a free 1" lift in the back? Why not just spend a little bit of money and get a real lift in the back? Try your luck at another dealership but trading it in over this seems stupid to me.

    Enjoy the Chevy.

There is nothing wrong with the truck. I love it. It is the service that sucks. You get one chance to make a first impression. The service department and manager got that and failed miserably. That is why I am not happy.

There are no less than 9 Toyota dealerships in the Pittsburgh area (so google says). Sorry yours sucks but get over it, and don't give them your business anymore.

    This.

Have fun with the Chevy. Perhaps you will like their service people more, which is a good thing because you'll be seeing them a lot.

Also, enjoy getting hosed on your trade.

Besides, if you're unhappy with the rear springs you should be replacing them anyway, not TSBing.

Just because you screwed up, paid to much for the truck and now you need an excuse to bail. Don't blame it on your service dept. Just 'cause one dealer said no, there are others that will say yes. Look up the thread for dealers that have said yes.

I'm thinking you'd be bitching about a free peanut and jelly sandwich because the jelly was on the top and not the bottom slice.

I bet all your other buddies, the ones who own Chevy's have given you such an ass full for buying a "Toyota", your feelings are hurt so you need to bail.

I wonder how you survive in the world of he and she. If one girl says no to you, do you just give up, bitch about how much a whore she is and then go home and circle jerk with your Chevy buddies?

The door is open and as someone has said previous, don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya.

Grow a set, do the work and get it figured out. What a waste of oxygen.

It's not worth it, why take the depreciation hit so early.... you are throwing money away and after all you said there is nothing wrong with the truck.

I'm not sure how much you paid for it but unless you will be able to sell if for what you paid for it, you'll be be making a poor decision.

With the loss of money you'll take, unless Mommy and Daddy are footing the bill you could take that money and put it into making things right.

I'm sure Chevy also has a 0% on their service too.

"Foreign" named is mostly irrelevent and possibly some form of brainwash imo, consider this. The dealer had an American salesman, finance guy , and service rep , right ? Crap dealerships or service dept. has nothing to do with a Japanese guy. your local Chevy dealer might be just as crappy. Id try going to a different toyota dealer first if reasonable.
Trading the truck due to bad service would be a mistake, for your sake give it time. p.s. I traded my silverado in for a Tacoma due to recalls ,waranty work etc.

Also, anyone at the service department for anything less than a crate engine, transmission, or frame replacement better turn in their man card.
