The heads on this 454 are meh, I'll be switching them for boost

I didn't grab the 4l80, the fluid looked like it might have been coffee.

I think it would be cool to keep it kind of stock (read sleeper) looking on the outside, but have one hell of a tricked out suspension and engine under it and in it.

I'm gonna paint it regular old black and keep the 90s valve covers. Gonna keep the accessory drive too cause it will all work. Have to find some headers though

Engine. The truck I'm leaving the outside stock minus wheels and some interior decorating

 That's it. It's got a cool retro color scheme going.

    @0xDEADBEEF

Just snipped this from the Mark Twain Mafia group about a Glade Top run next weekend. I won't be able to attend since I'll be doing maintenance for the CO trip.

These groups that welcome all types of rigs turn out to be the most fun. From what I can tell this is a fun group that doesn't have a lot of brand hangups.

Yup yup. When I'm living where I can get out regularly I'll be more serious about spending the money.

Instead of truck parts today I installed these kits.
I'd rather be under a truck than around a crapper.

Parts came in; thinking I'll pull the starter out this Wednesday -

Nice to see multiple contacts included in case I've got the 1.4kw or 1.8kw starter (haven't checked, too busy)

If you can build then that would be my advice. I built mine from the spokes up piecing it from new and used parts off ebay, pinkbike classifieds. The Santa Cruz VP Free was over 5k in 2007 and I got the frame for only $400. Another $1k in new/used parts and my bike was built.

For second gen Tacomas as well. Last summer I had to rewire my knock sensors because a creatur decided to move in between the V6 heads.
Fun fact, Toyota used soy based plastic to coat the knock sensor wires.

We got some tornados touching down locally. Fun shit. Just moved all the cars away from trees. Hopefully no hail.

Mmm Midwest, nothing to do unless the 500 is in town, but if you're lucky the weather will put you out of your misery

Big improvement over the old school flapper and float tho. Shit with confidence now!

I never thought I'd care enough to have an opinion on plumbing parts, but fuck float balls.
