I've got a 2020 with the 2.7 also. I'm quite happy with it actually.
I knew it wasn't going to be a 426 Hemi with gobs of power when I bought it. For me, it's got enough poop to pass the logging trucks and not worry it takes so long that I had to worry about what's coming the other way. I bought it because:
A: I wanted the better MPG. I was getting 24.5 MPG before... After adding the Snugtop Shell, surprisingly enough, I'm getting 26 MPG. (Better aerodynamics I'm guessing ... Turns out the weight of it is really a non-factor..)
B: Everything I read before purchase basically said the 2.7 was/is about as bullet-proof a engine as you'll find. The V-6's have some known, not terrible, probs. Like the leaky timing chain cover after time and some other minor issues. But everything I read about the 4 cylinder .. They just have no probs and last forever. That's what I wanted.
Hey, it's a mid-size 4x4 truck with a 4 cyl. ... Not really quite sure what you were expecting out of it.

Just for shits and giggles I ran my trucks info through KBB just to see what it's worth. 10 months old, 9K miles on it.
It's worth 'used' $3K more now than when I bought it new last Aug. (Not that I'd ever sell it though..)

It’s a considerable amount of money saved versus the V6. If it still gets you from A to B, it could be worth it. Depends what your needs are

Especially the 'Point A to B' thing...
My oldest son (32) occasionally get irritated with me as 'Dad .. WHY aren't you going 20 mph over the speed limit!!??'
Being retired now, my motto is 'I've nowhere to go, and all day to get there' .. LOL!
And then I poke him in the ribs with 'Hey ... Another safe, on time delivery..'
    Great fun at times.. ;)

Not bad. Aren't those a little over 250HP?

I was playing with a STI with the IS350 today. Interesting how the power is put down to the ground between the two.

Probably not. The IS350 is a little quicker if both are stock. The IS launches pretty good with Goodyears or Michelin tires.

I've always wanted an EVO or STI, but went with the Corvette instead. That was in a whole different ball park of stupid.

I have 2016 2.7 4X4 AT access cab. Nearly 5 years without a single problem. It has adequate acceleration and no problems climbing hills. I’ve gone through Sierras, Rockies, and back and forth to cabin near Chico, CA. Daily driver. It’s probably more suited to drivers who are not in a hurry. If you need to floor it onto a freeway or make accelerate to a quick pass, you’ll be disappointed. But once up to speed, it’s fine. If your a patient driver, I don’t know how you can beat it. I’m keeping it. But I also realize some of us would never be happy with a 2.7. To each his own, as they say.
