I'll be in Moab the 1st of October, so pretty unlikely I can do both. Unless construction slows way down.

    Lucky dog!
I'm looking for a new house and cost of building materials has been a deciding factor in what I buy. Some very nice places that need a little work, but I'm not paying $90 for a 16' 2x12 lol

Yeah, I've been trying to coordinate with my wife to go out there for the past 3 years, but her work schedule just wouldn't allow it, so I told her I'll just go alone. It sucks, we both love it out there, but this will allow me to hit some harder trails without her freaking out.

Dude, now is not the time to buy anything construction related. The prices, lead times, and finding a qualified professional to do the work are ridiculous. That said, it might just be the new normal. Hope it works out.

One place we saw needed a whole bedroom floor replaced and a few other things. My rough guess was about 15' x 15', and about 1k in costs for that one room. Not a huge amount, but it is when it would've only cost about $700 a few months ago.

Who wants to take the reigns and lead a group of "stock" trucks this year?

This is so less capable vehicles and drivers, lacking armor and worried about possible damage, aren't following the rest of the group on technical trails.
You'd be on the greens and some blues, I can tell which blues are okay and those that aren't, maybe.

I like Moab. I have been watching on YouTube.

My ex went to truck training school out there, she said when she's done with the school, she'd move us to out to West.

But never happened because she wanted to quit. I told her don't quit. She quit because death in family Her mom said to stay there. My ex is stubborn.

Wait and see how many show up. If there’s like 10+ trucks, we need 2 groups

Agreed. I'm not wanting to do all black and red trails, I need to make it back home, too. I just like a challenge.

Agreed. 11 (I think it was 11) was a good trail last year once we found that bypass.

Trying hard not to say anything about a night ride where the leader took us on "green" trails and I ended up winching a few trucks for two hours...

I get it now, not power fold, power adjust.

I might be 1.5 bourbons deep. Maybe. Maybe barrel proof. Maybe.

    Bite me.
