I just started using two 10lb ones by Artic Ice called Chillin' Brew.
    I'm liking them so far.
Think they chill to 28 deg.
Used to use several frozen 1/2 gal jugs which lasted til the 3rd day but not 3 full days.
With these new ones they last 4 full days.
I have a cheap Coleman cooler.

Starting a test today with the new cooler, might as well used the few hottest days of the year to my advantage. The cooler is underneath my swing out, it’s in the shade until 0200-0300 and then in the sun for the hottest part of the day

    put ice in at 1130
    2- blocks of ice
1- bags of cubes spread out to fill gaps
2- bags of cubes to put in drinks

let’s see how this thing does

Yep, purposely didn’t to see how bad the worst case scenario would be. Hence testing it on the three hottest days...ever....

It’s on our list, it’s been made clear though that if we do get a cooler, it will involve a solar/dual battery setup. Whatever gets put into this truck has to also be transferable to our next one as well

I can say living down here and dealing with people passing out left and right a quality cooler is absolutely worth the money

That being said, doesn't have to be top of the line name brand as long as the specs are comparable ill take a yeti knock off any day of the week

100 watt does fine? I’ve been looking at a 150-260w setup just so i don’t have any issues. We’d like to have a 70-80qt fridge

Wtf are you trying to run? Yeah 100watt renogy works fine. You'll get about 20 percent less effective because that's how it is. I'm getting easily 50-80 watts 2.6-8apa variable. But that's here. I'm from NV. If you angle it, face south it will be even more effective. If you need help with an install lemme know if gladly help. I love solar. It's free energy and unlimited at that! I power my fridge 24/7, 3a USB outlets for my camp lights, bettery packs. It all kicks ass. I also upgraded the battery to a Northridge 31.

My wife bought me a giant Yeti cooler last year for my birthday. I took it back and bought a 65qt dual zone from Mike for $480. I can go 3 days off my North Star battery without needing to start the truck and have a NOCO 40 incase I kill it. Not a fancy $1,200 fridge and a $800 solar generator system but gets the job done.https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/csi-fridge-freezer-mega-thread.560526/page-44
