Bear Chase Brewery in Bluemont is an option. Plenty of parking but need to make it earlier in the afternoon as it gets busier as evening rolls in. Went there for the 1st time yesterday...highly recommend. Great beer selection. Pub-style menu. Amazing view!

Well, if there is something in the water… You guys need to stop drinking it. :D All seriousness though, glad you all are ok and nothing even more serious happened.

That said. My kiddo is down with a rod in her leg. Left femur to be exact. Was told to take Advil and sleep it off (I see medical in the Army has not changed). She barely made it to the hospital next day limping in before they came running out with a wheel chair. Apparently level/class 3 stress fracture. In less than 24 hrs., She is in surgery.

Kiddo is pissed because it backs up her training. but the bright side is, She’s taking it like a champ. Says at least one part or her should be stronger now. Little shit is pushing herself to not let it get her down and to finish what she started (Her words).

So, every one here is still breathing which is a good thing. Some need new vehicle parts. She has her own new part. And the day keeps moving forward.

    Be easy.

“Went bad” was a glass half full statement. I’d say imploded is a more accurate assessment now haha.

Sounds great, I'd be down for that. Is that at the top of the hill before going down to the river?

13333 miles as it sits. Got it with about 3k miles 2 years ago. Other than blowing a weld on the exhaust this has been the first major failure.

Sheesh. Now I’m terrified this is going to happen to me while riding. Guess I’m going to be reading up on replacing them and start doing so regularly.

Mine probably had play that I just didn’t notice while riding. Had I put it on a jack and checked I might have saved myself some time. But if you do it yourself its less than $50, cheap life insurance. Most will say to just do it when you change the tire/have the wheels off.

We’re you on 301 south passing Shadygrove rd. around 09 this morning? Thinking it was you, but also not. The 4Runner had a lift and black wheels.

Waytek is my go-to for electrical but probably not cheaper after minimum buys and/or shiping. In this case "headlight relay" probably just means it has the specific pin layout which, from the pic, is non-standard. You can substitute any relay that can handle the voltage/amperage and be just fine as long as you aren't working with a proprietary socket.

What kind of bike and what's wrong with the standard hi/lo switch that makes you want to add a momentary? If you're adding the capability, Hella makes a waterproof relay and socket combo you can just splice in for around $15-20 a pop but if you're just adding a momentary so you're not physically clicking hi/lo then you can probably just add that in-line to the signal wire to the existing relay.

Here’s the instructions when I searched it earlier. It’s not a standard relay, looks maybe like a double pole relay? Likely worth it to just buy that one since you know it’ll work.

Ok yeah that's a bit of a hybrid double pole with one single throw and one double throw circuit. Lows are getting power in both states and highs just when energized. I'm really confused by the use of "momentary" though because unless there's some sort of logic circuit in that relay, a momentary would only flash the lights as long as you're pressing it like the first click on the truck's turn stalk. You'd want a standard ON-OFF switch of some kind but I'd recommend an ON-OFF-(ON) rocker where the third state is momentary and you can flash your lights.

If there's no specific socket, that relay can also be replaced with a DPDT relay and just not use the extra circuit... those aren't exactly common or cheap though (and the sockets even less so) so for critical circuits like headlights I would almost always go with common parts you can buy at any auto parts house. In this case one SPDT and SPST standard relay.
