Why none of you guys deal with MCM fab or Filthy Motorsports instead I'll never know

    I've bought from Filthy Motorsports.

Can't remember if I got my Front or Rear Kings from them.

They're a small business, so is MCM. Both can get you quality suspension. MCM doesn't list it on his site but he can get just about anything through ADS and specify better valving for our kinds of trucks. He even has shit ADS doesn't list yet

    Interesting.

I've kicked around the idea of going ADS for custom rear shocks for when the 4R gets a shock relocation.

I would've gone ADS from the get go but their lead times were long (Pre-COVID) compared to King.

Then COVID hit, and now ADS is way faster than the rest of the guys :violent:

ADS has all their machining done close by and they assemble all in a small building in Tucson. I don't think they've been impacted much beyond having more orders than usual cause of Kings slowdown

You're not experiencing any slowdowns that aren't just caused by your lack of funds.

The funds are looking good right now, it’s just keeping them that way till guiding season rolls around.

After those bushings show up tomorrow and I get everything out back together, brakes bled, the 02 should be golden for awhile.

I think there may be a vacuum leak somewhere though, timing seemed high for the 5 seconds I drove it before going to the garage.

That's a good thing, and a good lesson. Lots of people outspend what they make... @BartMaster1234

Timing and idle speed are erratic on startup usually anyway cause of the enrichment map. Gotta wait till it's warmed up to judge

Weird. Ive always gotten a quick and informative reply to my emails from Marie at HeadStrong. Bought the lift kit for my dads 08 from them with no issues.

I do think they take a few weeks off per year and dont do anything business related at those times. Maybe you contacted them then. :notsure:

I drove it to the car wash and let it run while I sprayed it off, still seemed high, but I’ll have to see what it’s like when I can drive it more.

It is quite possible; I would've expected an auto-response email though when I emailed them.

Not to start stuff really but I did tag them over a year later, explaining what I said above, and they never chimed in even.

So I can't say I had a bad experience with them, I just had none because they never got my business.

MCM Fab has that long travel, and for cheap! I had completely forgotten about it...

I thought Marie and her husband sold Headstrong a couple years ago, at least that's what I heard here from a few that know them personally. They would attend some of the local TW meetups.

Their site still makes it sound like it's them but they might've just kept that up for the company image

Hence why its taking me a month to move to my new place. Just buying stuff here and there, not dropping a ton of dough at once. Also I refuse to rack up credit card debt for whimsical things.

I went there to pick some up too and was impressed at the shop and how well organized everything was for such a small space

    I have mods
Rear shocks were delayed because ADS was having issues with their plater getting things back to them in time. Not ADS fault tho, out of their hands. They are busy as fuck tho, which is a good thing.
