I was 100% the same. I loved drawing.. and started going to school for graphic design.. but as soon as the computers came into play, I lost interest. I knew I still wanted to be creative and make things.. Then I turned to manufacturing and specifically machining. Which.. I ended up using a computer anyways. Just got hooked on the capabilities.

And I'm trying to do the same thing! Do my thing to get me into the mountains!

Well from the looks of your rig, you're on top of your game. I've changed over to fab/weld also. Built a dozen racecars in Georgia/Florida and now this truck. Love the work. I admire those who have the resources to design and make things CNC, 3D or otherwise. Amazing. Thanks for the chat and nice work on the rig.

Received another SP email update from Josh.
This is good CS given the circumstances.
Still targeting late Jul/early Aug for my build if rails are delivered to SP by mid-July.
    Same, same.
As others have mentioned this delay might prove useful if SP uses the time to tweak/fix any outstanding issues/design considerations.

Got the same email. Looks like aluminum extrusion being delivered no later than 7/15. Add 10-12 days for them to finish the campers.

I kinda like the idea of the annex/entry.. But some of it seems kinda hokey to me personally.

They have been around for about a year. Apparently they aren’t using it in areas with wind OR they have very good earplugs to sleep at night with all the flapping.

How is the quality of everything ? Everything looks rectangular and square meaning manufacturing/fabrication looks really simple when compared to SP. also with a lot of brands out there, entry price doesn’t mean full build out price so I’m wondering what exactly would be included at that price.

for a full build $7500 looks like a fair price and good alternate.

Not trying to be mean but for some reason that Harker camper makes me think of a stagecoach for some reason.

It looks cheap, some of the stuff I'm looking at in the videos ,hinges etc. Things cost what they cost, most of the time, for a reason.

Just watched an interior walk through. I like the idea of extra space w the awning/tailgate idea. However, i dont want to need a place to stake down the bottom of that tail gait tent area. I just want to pop it open and go to bed. Ive camped areas that were all rock before. No chance of tent stakes helping there. If i were building these for the masses, id probably poll my potential customer base about ideas.

Just got my awning mounts from Gzila and as another member noted the t-nuts don’t fit the SP slots. Anyone know what the best t-nut source and size is for our slots? Thanks.

Has anyone checked McMaster? We don't have our camper yet.. otherwise I'd try a few.

Why would you come to a Super Pacific dedicated thread to pitch another companies wares?
SP is 10k now, not 12k and they definitely offer a LB configuration.
Nothing against you directly but why talk shit when you could just start a new thread to promote whatever you’re here pushing?

I ordered my t-nuts from Fastenal, since there is a branch here where I could pick them up. Also, GZila shipped me the poles without the GoFast T-nuts, so I saved a few bucks.

i am not bashing SP. I'm not pushing anything. I'm not talking shit at all. In fact I'm $7500 into my SPC with deposits and still excited about getting mine hopefully in Sept. there are some on here that are still looking and trying to decide. I simply saw these and listed them as an alternate idea. And the SPC are now $12K and 12.5K. that's steep. to be honest I bought mine at 10K but if it would have been 12k back then, then I'd probably ordered the GFC. to each his own.
    Happy trails

Actually the new SP price is comparable to the Vagabond when you build it with similar options and then add the 8% Cali sales tax on it. We don’t have sales tax here in OR.
