TEC || Ardbeg Summer Trail Cleanup June 25 - 27, 2021

Sad that there is that much trash year after year...but great job cleaning up after the scummy population!

Did the south trail to the power station at a pretty good pace. @Tech HoFFinaTor , @Shveet and I did it fairly quick. Maybe this is a record for the club?

 

Did the steel bridge (the one that cost @Shveet a few hundred bucks) get filled in on each end?

 

sort of. it's a bunch of 6x6" blocks with a bunch of stones piled up. Nothing "officially" backfilled.

That was a wicked weekend, despite the poor weather and crazy rain we had Saturday night I think we made the absolute best of it! Thank @Norilsk for getting this all together and hauling the trash out! Looking forward to the next time.
On a side note... Whose idea was it to swap out my valve cap? Just know this.

It was filled as @Shveet said. It was already eroding a bit on the down stream side.

it felt perfectly flat

 

You had more flex on the trail than on this vid. Scored a perfect line there.

 

So I finally made it to Ardbeg, too bad it was so wet, but it was still a great weekend. It was great meeting everyone and putting faces to the names.

I don't have any pics from the trails, but I have a couple hours of dashcam video to go through. I'll post anything noteworthy.

Now it's time to wash the truck and repaint my skid plates, sliders, and brand new rims.

 

It sure was an awesome weekend. I was super impressed you made it through the north.

And to finally meet again!

 

Well nobody told me I shouldn't do the North trail. No real damage. Just some touch up painting on the skids and sliders and that's what their for. It's all part of the adventure. South trail next time though. I want to go up that clime at the start.

Your camp setup was a God send. It made cooking and eating much more enjoyable. And as always the company was awesome. Thanks again.
