I have a set of 07 Forester seats in mine and I love them. The only issue I have is the power driver seat, I wanted a manual one.

I got really lucky finding a fully manual drivers seat.

Seat height adjustment and lumbar support is incredible.

I had two sets of stock seats and cut the feet off one pair and welded them to the Subaru seats. Basically just hot bolted the feet in and placed the Subaru seats on top and tacked them on. Pulled the seats out, welded the feet and bolted them back in. Pretty easy!

I have all of the adjustments, I just wanted a manual seat. I found the set on craigslist for $50.00, so I figured they were manual, but when I went to pick them up, it was power.
This is the reason I wanted a set, my other exploration vehicle has comphy seats.

Ive never actually ridden in a Subaru. Sitting in the wrecked Forester at the junkyard was the first time. I’ve heard they’re great vehicles.

Well, I have owned two, and I will not own another. They are great when they are running, but to many issues with the 2.5 engines for my taste.

So much this. My wife has had a few. '09 forester currently. Constantly goes through head gaskets and eats oil like no other. I have to add a quart of oil at every fill up. I didn't check it for a couple weeks and seized the engine. Got a rebuilt engine put in and it eats just as much oil as the first one. This one and the 2 before it have been a constant pain in the ass.

Coilovers, sway bars, wheels, tires, extended studs, intake, head and taillights, seats, short shifter,
Sanded down the epoxy on my hood. It flattened out pretty well. I also went back and sanded the entire hood to make it more even.

Nice!! Well I just pulled the fuse and called it a day. Looks so much better. If I really miss the horn I can wire it up to a momentary switch somewhere else… but probably not since I have a garage of stuff to install still..

Finally bit the bullet and brought some 3rd Gen 4 Runner Seats

Used the rails replacement method. Only had to switch the outside rails from the Tacoma to the 4 Runner seats.

    pretty straightforward
Grind off bump stop in front foot and two little ones in the back, slide out the bearings
Reverse the process to slide the tacoma rails on to the 4 Runner seats.

    Much more comfortable!

Plan on doing leather next spring
