I have the exact same build as yours but I was able to talk them down to an 8% discount from msrp. MSRP was around $45k and got them down to $41349 before all the fees and tax

2021 TRD OR DCSB in Cement. Options are tech package, all weather mats and sill protectors and spare tire lock. I got it for MSRP of $39,828, with no incentives. It is currently in transit to the dealer with a scheduled delivery date sometime between the 30th and the 5th.
Trade in was a 2016 4Runner SR5 with 101,400 miles which I got $23k for from the dealer. Carvana offered $24k blind, but the ease of trading in at the dealer and getting the tax credit made me stick with trading instead of selling.

Because of farm issues, not needed the 4Runner anymore, 2018-4X4-30554 on the odo. Dealer gave me $36K for it on trade, and a $500 Military discount.
Caught a new '21 DC off-road TRD 4X4, 5' bed, $1200 tech pkg, gives parking sonar, etc., mud guards, 4" ovals black, LED head and fog, audio +, black emblem overlays, bed mat and lights, pin stripe, all weather mats. Received the VIN, except it will change soon as out of production, which goes in week of 7/14. $40,008.00, paid the doc and trans charge. With the state of available units, I am not going to argue these charges.
Only changes I will make, tonneau and Michelins. I am sure they wanted this 4R, it is in like new condition. Our '04 Tacoma, is staying home, 188775 on the odo, excellent. I could have easily sold this 4R for $38K+. Then have to pay the 7% tax on the new purchase. Its a wash.

$25,870 for base model. I couldn't imagine paying $40k+ on a Tacoma, or any vehicle for that matter...

Just paid $34,800 for SR5 V6 access cab 2 door 6’ bed. Added mud flaps, bed step and tow package. Was given $1600 trade on a 1995 Dodge Dakota base model, low mileage. Taxes were 6%. Probably 3 to 6 month wait. I’m in no hurry. It’ll either be black or gray

40k seems about right. I paid 37k for my SR5 with a navigation upgrade. OTD. 41k (tax, licence, delivery)

That was a SR5 DC 4x4!!! I don't know how others are getting trucks under 40k. My purchase was Nov 2020. $1500 under MSRP. Edmonds Washington. The market is nuts out here.

Is the navigation because of apple play? Or because it has its own navigation built in?

Nice! You got a great deal. Congrats man. ORs are hard to find and the mark ups are insane right now. It was the premium audio/ sonar package that ran me up another $1700..

Yes, my purchase price looks high but they gave me a fair number for my trade in plus another $1500 after I walked. It's all the same pot. Just moving numbers around. He looks good for the sale price and my marked up trade allows me to feel like I got a deal.

Out here (Washington)....OR were going for 40k+ msrp and yours may have been around 45k msrp with a small mark up. My buddy got a pro for 50k mrsp. OTD is about another 4k(ish).

Also our tax rate is 10%
6.5% for the washington state and 3.6% for the county.

Right now its pretty bad in Southern California, all the dealer I talk to are adding 6-9k over MSRP on TRD off roads.
People are paying the price and most are sold before they come in.
