All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

When you stepped up in a wider tire, did you notice a shit ton more rocks hitting the side of your rig? I am on 285s now and thinking about stepping up.
My driveway is about 1 mile of gravel FSR before I hit pavement. I hear shit pinging off my sliders everyday, but luckily most of it stays off the truck.
Tell me...are you blasting the side of your truck with rocks?

on 285s also with -38mm offset. I can confirm, tons of rocks hitting my sliders and the lower sides of my truck. Fenders in the back absolutely are beat up in the plastic due to this

Edit: i think depending on your offset of your wheels you should be okay though

    A few.
It wont get any better with 285's. If your sliders are the running board closed in style then you already have the best bet for protecting the paint againest rock chips.

    #Goals.

    Nice looking truck!!

I cant wait for my UpTop racks to come in. Also never thought of doing a bumper light along with the roof light but I love the look so I might make that a plan as well.

Yeno that never even crossed my mind. We just came back from a trip which had fire roads and some pretty lose gravel, and I didn’t run into any issues. I’m sure a mud flap will help if you can fit it!

Sorry I missed your post earlier.

I have been using my bed. Works fine. I may consider the front bed rail fork mounts.

I have an older Thule, kind of a pain. Worked OK in the past.

And it just so happens, I ordered a Swagman XTC2 TILT Hitch Mount Bike Rack - I will report back on how that one is.
