I'm back home in Idaho for a few days. I had to earn my ID card again. I know it's not a 3rd Gen but my 1st Gen is actually my favorite (over my TRD Pro).

Yeah, he went off-roading by accident back in February. They had to cut him out.

It’s down near the Del Mar multi use area in San Diego. There was some trail down there that led you to a crashed car. It looks like the same area to me but it was a wild ass guess.

My worst stinging nettle was when one was reaching across the trail and I took like the whole plant to the elbow crease so it got caught then ripped itself out as I sped by. It left like open slices from the stem of the plant or something then those were all covered in the stingers or whatever the hell those plants give off. Brutal.

    Now THIS is mountain biking!!

no bikes allowed on the tram this year? no problem. I'll just pedal/hike up the access roads.

Still gotta say their no bikes on the tram decision is bullshit. bikes naturally force the riders to stay farther apart than all the hikers, and that tram is rarely full anyways.

Been training for Ultras so my cardio is there. I leave my buddies on the uphills but I have no chance on the down. 52 years old and first new MTB in 10 years. Dang near impossible to find here in the U.K.

Had my first wipeout! Went over the bars at 21.6 MPH according to Strava

Scuffed the bars and a little tear in the seat of my Trek Fuel EX5

Oh yeah. I agree. I have friends who work there and they think it's complete bullshit as well. They're trying to make things move but there's a lot of friction. For now, not allowed because of "covid".

Yeah, I know some people that are attached to Powderbird and they all have similar things to say about "management".

Yeah. I hear the same things. It baffles me that powderbird is so....inept? is that the word? out of touch! that's the phrase.

The people in the powderbird pad themselves are some wicked good pilots and ski guides. But the people managing the business...yeah, dollars over everything.

If you ever get to ride in the black heli while Paul is at the helm, buckle in tight. :burnrubber:

OH man, that is NOT a low speed crash. Ouch. Stings and hurts.

Good on you for cardio. I'm 62 and TRY to avoid being crazy while staying halfway fit. Love it none the less.

    NICE trail systems. SWEET!!

I didnt get to ski, but I did get to tag along thanks to a buddy on staff for a familiarization flight for one of the new pilots. I'm pretty sure he bent the rotors. My buddy ended up at the doc's office with a suspected ruptured ear drum they were throwing it around so fast.
