It's the principle of the thing, man. One time I was at McDonalds and they were rude to me so I haven't had a hamburger of any kind ever since. I showed them!

u dont need this done unless you tow or haul heavy stuff. TSB wont do anything for u unless you are hauling on a normal bases. It's an overload spring. Check your bump stops, I guarantee thats what the tech did when they evaluated your truck to see if you needed the tsb.

you will have nothing but problems with a chevy, my uncles AC has gone out 3 times

You don't need the TSB leaf pack. I needed it because my leafs were already flatting out and caused my truck to have a shitty ride, that was a good enough reason to get it done and boo hoo that you went to a Dealership and they were giving you a hard time on work that they don't profit on and you don't need. Go ahead get the Chevy, after a year of owning that garbage of a Truck you wished you were back in a Tacoma.

I had a similar situation with an Audi dealer on a COP A4 Avant I bought about 5 years ago. They failed at every interaction. The service writer suffered from what seemed to be severe ADD and drove me crazy. I traded it on a Mercedes. Looking back, it was an emotional decision to shit-can the car over the dealer. I would have been better off keeping the it. I loved the way it drove and it was perfect for my needs at the time. I ended up with a auto that I was never quite satisfied with.

If you like the truck, keep the truck. Develop a rapport with another dealer for your T-Care oil changes until the agreement runs out, then either do it your self or find a shop that deserves your money.

    X2,

I have been to get the TSB and have been rejected, but does that mean my truck sucks and isn't worth keeping? No. Am I going to make an impulse decision to trade for a gas-guzzling Chevy? No.
    Nothing about the truck itself.

The main point is, it's a TSB, not a warranty. If you're under warranty (which obviously you are), it's done for free if you qualify. If you haven't hit the bump stops, you don't qualify. Go buy a bunch of concrete or somethin and hit some bumps and see if you can get it to bottom out. Take it to a different dealer cuz apparently yours is full of dicks. If they can find evidence the truck is hitting the bump stops, poof, you have a new set of springs.

I understand that, but why does he want the TSB leafs? Is he bottoming out when loaded? Or does he just want them because he wants them?

If ya cry about service for a toyota, don't buy a high end vehical ever! I own and have owned many Mercedes Benz and let me tell ya this, after a dozen or so 3000.00 to 5000.00 repair or service bills you'd look past a minor problem like you have. (TSB's are not warranty or because you just want it cause others got it) They are for the techs. Here's my forum in MB

I wouldn't consider buying a chevy truck a threat, I would have to get that person evaluated for mental illness. Good luck with your Chevy!

Exactly, he hasn't stated that he has problems with his current leaf packs. Im thinking he just wants them just because.
