You can just press in on the area where the latch is and it will slide open pretty easily. Note for next time I guess.

Hello fellow fried westerners, what's the fire situation in western Utah atm? I'm going to be headed down that way in a week to do some overl- er..car camping down the Utah/Nevada border. Maybe as far south as Hamlin Valley/Modena. Closures? Restrictions? TIA.

I'd be reluctant to recommend anything other than a propane stove well off the ground for cooking. Skip the s'mores and enjoy the stars.

Not to be overly paranoid, but know your exit points.

    It is DRY, Brother.

I might reconsider my route in that case. I'm not tied to anything.

All of northern AZ is getting locked down due to EXTREME fire risk as well. The whole southwest is one mouse fart away from end of days level forest fires, so just have a PACE set of routes and you'll be ok.

Well I am getting older by the day! I might skip the whole thing altogether if conditions are that bad. Its really hard to enjoy yourself when youre worried your muffler could could ignite the apocolypse.

There's a lot of places here that pose very little fire danger getting to and from, more a risk of campfires, etc. Don't let it ruin your plans, just be aware of your actions.

High country is better. But just stay on well traveled trails and don't park anywhere there is tall grass. Still no fires.
