Anyone know where I can go to get a cab mount chop? Preferably on Hilo side.

Also, if anyone's interested. I have a MBRP muffler 3" inlet (new) and a Black Widow muffler 3" inlet (used about 500 miles) for sale.

Get ahold of chris Santos from persition small engine repair located next to moto worx in hilo. He's the man for the cab mount.

You’re going to have to post photos with the parts off the truck, otherwise you’ll get the boot. Plus, I believe there’s a minimum post rule, too, to be allowed to sell, and you’re only at 47.

Sup guys. Been wanting to grab a rtt for a while now but I’m not sure how the freight shipping works. I haven’t bought anything that size online anymore. Does anyone know how the whole process works?

It's doable, personally I will not be doing it again unless camping. If you're just going to the beach walk from Mahai'ula, it'll be quicker!

Green sands is on the list to do...

We went up Skyline rd (off of R1) and then up a no name trail the other week, pretty damn awesome up there 11,600ft.

Nice to see another stock Taco wheelin it on BI. Seems like we're in the minority. Is it true the worst part of the makalawena trail that giant drop at the beginning?

Yeah considering the number of tacos over here this thread is dead quiet.

I’m a dclb and made it, pick the line and wait for potential contact. I messed up the wind deflector aka skid plate further down the trail. A 2” lift would make life a lot easier. It’s not an enjoyable trail to drive, if u care about your truck u have to keep getting out to check your line.

    Highly recommend R1 http://www.instanthawaii.com/cgi-bin/hawaii?Drives.ur

Green sands should be no problem stock. As far as tips; don’t worry about which routes to take they all go to the same place

I haven't been out there in years. Didn't they pave a parking lot? I was under the impression you could now make it with a slammed civic.

265/75/16 tires only everything else stock.
Green sands is fine stock. Sometimes there is a few deep sections but choose your path wisely. Some are pretty deep.

Definitely learned this on the first attempt, must've taken wrong turns (went left a lot at the forks, going away from the ocean) because we came up on this one dip where I doubt even the monsters on 40s could make. Just gave up and turned around.

What do you think of makalawena on stock?

it's understandable considering most of em never make it offroad or never sees more than the grass/dirt road leading to the fishing spot n the mauna:)

Will def check out R1! If you had to pick, would you do R1 or the Mana Rd drive?
