I prefer the mountains myself, but I do miss the Pacific Northwest coast. Usually not many people out unless it's hot, which is like 4 times a year.

I’ll have to look and see if I can find what I just paid for the Tacoma tags and registration.

 

I haven’t heard if they have or not, I know they were talking about it. I got a friend been waiting on his CCP for over 4 months.

 

I hate the people anyways..

To be fair I do have a pool

 

Our son ask if we could go to the aquarium while we’re there, I said no, probably be too crowded. That way he won’t be so let down when we’re there

 

Awww dad, (hehehe) the aquarium was lots of fun for our family when we went to Portland Oregon.

 

But what about the greater good?

 

I do enjoy the beach but I don't care for tourists. I lived beachside in Cocoa Beach for years and at the beginning it still felt like a sleepy beach town at times. In the last 10 years they have really pushed harder to allow more and more tourists through.

I understand the need for tourists and the revenue they generate for the locals. But between the half blind 90 year olds and the fully loaded 21 year olds driving around, it's just not somewhere I want to raise kids.

 

Loaded up my truck with my toolbox, and I'm headed to my new position. All the grouchy old millwrights at my old mill gave me an honest "good luck" and a few "sorry for being an asshole" which meant more to me than I thought it would. Now to go prove I can handle it. Hopefully these day time hours gives me more time for my truck and family too.

training today...I hope it's not as painfully dry as I anticipate, it's Work Package Planning. That's done by another work group. Eventually they'll have us doing it all

 

The 2020 Tacoma we just bought, tax, tags, title, etc. total was $1,450.83

 

That was when you bought the truck right?

In VA its $1593 each yr for property tax. From what I can see its going to be about $400 bucks to register and title my 4 Runner in NC.

 

Yes that was when I bought it, the property tax is a tad less than $400
