@Pablo8 I just bought my 2002 RCLB V8 4x4 Tundra back from my friend who had it for the past 11 years. Any recommendations on what to order for it? Same as the AT Tacoma just different quantities? Front, rear, TC and transmission?

FYI MTF in the TC now, 3 years of good usage, no issues.

Just rolled over 70k miles and will be changing front and rear diffs and tcase fluids soon (going with 75w90 for the gears). Signed up as a preferred customer with the OP referral code, and the discount is pretty sweet! Kinda took some of the hurt out of paying Toyotas ransom for the tcase liquid gold

FYI for those seeking out Toyota tcase fluid -- I got the it from Bommarito Toyota for ~$62

Why not do your transmission too? And use amsol for all of it, no need to use Yotas overpriced stuff

I actually had my transmission done about 15K miles ago due to some rough shifting going on otherwise it would be on the docket as well. Ugghhhh....i was seriously on the fence about not using Toyotas stuff but in the end my paranoia about it won over and i caved

Back in 2019 you'd been w/ Amsoil for only 20 years then. So... as such a young pup, have you seen this logo much?:

    Cool.

Close. Not too ancient maybe 25 years old (?) - must have been right after the name change from Amzoil to Amsoil.

And when you didn’t have a spout you used an old school beer/bottle opener.

It is farther away from the name change than that. Amatuzio had to change the name very soon after developing the oil (I think the change was in 1970). If I remember right, my products are more from around '83, so closer to 38 years old. Pretty sure, the logo design change, from the oval to the "lighting bolt-ish", happened in the very late '80s. But it could've been in the '90s...

I also cannot remember exactly when Avoil was discontinued. My guess would be middle to late '80s. I remember it happening, just not when.
***You know it was pulled simply because the aviation related insurance, that Amsoil was required to carry for it, was way too expensive. No way to make money when those costs were that high. Pulling it had NOTHING to do with the oil's performance (never had issues like the Mobil AV-1 had!). It was purely a business decision.***
