Just installed my OEM roof rack

    My local dealership got me this deal for a OEM roof rack for $200 out the door. Install took half hour and Iam very pleased with the look. I got it for my snowboards and bike.Install was very easy...

    There are places already set in place on the roof under the rubber. You just take off the rubber, put on the racks using some screws and presto, roof rack. Super easy to install.

    I you are not used to carrying bikes on the roof of a vehicle, make sure you don't pull into the garage (if you have one) until you take them off... Sounds like common sense right? It is so easy to forget. Especially after a super long ride. After doing it once:smack: , I started putting something in the way (like a paint can) so I wouldn't pull into the garage and do it again.

    Your truck looks good.

    I always throw the garage door opener in the back seat before I put the bikes on the roof. That way, I have to stop, take bikes off, and then reach in and grab the opener before I can pull in!

    I promise no drilling. You will have to get some torx screw drivers though. Dont remember which ones. let me see if I can dig up a DIY.

    There are Torx head bolts included in the kit, plus some gooey mastic to create a seal around the pre-threaded mounts beneath the roof line weather strip (which gets removed). It takes about an hour at most to install it the first time. My only problem is that it won't hold two kayaks side-by-side. Thinking about selling mine, but it does look great on the DC
