@81Trekker I know you said before that you don't think it's super necessary or worth the effort, but any tips and pros/cons for notching the frame?

All my Sua stuff should be here in the next couple of weeks!

    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
This is why the dakar packs are shit on these trucks.

It was terrible on small bumps, fine for stuff under 12" and abysmal with big stuff.

It was so bad I quit driving it and went back to the drawing board. The overload leafs made it worse and it still went negative. It was either bouncy on small stuff or hammering the hydrobumps for anything bigger

Gotta run the rear shocks pretty tight to make it work ok. Im at 20/10 on mine but like I said earlier, it is on the border of being uncomfortable for small stuff.

Save yourself the headache and don’t do it. Also with 35’s you will have to cut the wheel well tubs out and with 37’s you might as well ditch the bed because there won’t be anything left of it

Are you saying the tubs need to be cut even with 35’s? Or just if you notch? I’m assuming I’ll have a little work with 37’s even with no notch. But luckily, I’ve got a good connection with someone that has the skills and tools to bend me up some new tubs if needed.

My tub needs to be cut with my 33"s, I rub about 1/2" and had to adjust for that in the bump. Otherwise Id get about 3/4" more uptravel if the fender tub wasnt in the way. I dont understand sometimes how people run 35's and say they dont rub at full bump when 33"s barely fit

Well, currently my 37’s don’t rub anything front or rear. But I’ll likely have issues with the SUA. As far as the front, well I cut the shit out of that…

Are you talking about the front because we are discussing the rear. And yes 35’s will clear the rear bed tub with the axle on the frame but not by much. A frame notch or 37’s will require you to cut the plastic bed tub apart.

I’m on 35s with frame notch and I’m pretty close to the bed but no need to tub the bed. Maybe my spacer and offset.

I cycled it articulating as well. And articulating it’s not gonna be moving as fast I wouldn’t think so bump zone and hydro bumps should keep it away from there.

    Whole lotta stuff
Articulation, such as in my profile picture, is still going to push you to max bump on the hydro. I seent it. But you should be good since you cycled it.
