I've had an s20 fe for about a year now. Been liking it. Probably best battery life I've ever had

My S7 Edge did, but not the 21's. I think they are moving away from SD card slots on all the new phones. Makes sense, huh? Charge us more money for less features? The 21 Ultra is like $1199 or something like that.

I loved my S7 Active. When it was getting tired I went with the S10e since I'm not into the huge phones with curved screens and whatnot. I didn't like the S10e - it had a lot of weird quirks, like the fact that the always on display wasn't usable because the proximity sensor only worked in calls.

This time around I got a Pixel 5 and I love it. It doesn't have the processor that the $1k+ phones do, but I honestly don't notice a performance difference. I use my phone for basic web browsing, calendar/email, photos, controlling some smart home stuff, and Google Maps/Spotify with Android Auto, that's about it. I don't need crazy specs for that. The battery life is excellent too, and the lack of manufacturer bloatware is refreshing.

Yup because they want you to give them more money for the extra memory. Just like most don't have an easily removeable battery any longer.

I have the Motorola e6. SD slot and can change the battery in a minute without tools. Does all I need it to do

    holy shit balls Batman!

well. I do know part of it. It’s the same reason Apple is moving away from the home button and finger print scanner and going to the facial recognition unlock. They’re going to have a front facing camera, that’s what people want in phones. If they can use that and ditch other hardware, cost savings!

if 128gb can hold everything with the modern “cloud” based ideology for a lot of everything now, why have the added complexity of an SD card slot?

it’s shenanigans. I can go get an android phone for 100 bucks that does EVERYTHING I want and does it well. Hell even Apple - If I went and needed a new phone on my own today and wanted an iPhone, the SE is looks like about 250.

whatever. Not my money not my problem. I’ll happily sit here on my old phone that works great and I have no payments on and my plan for my wife and I is 75/mo. Even when it wasn’t work hand me down phones I was on the 100$ range and had no problems.

    I hate modernness. I’m only 28 wtf.

I have always been a "Note" guy. I had the original Samsung Note, the Note 2, the Note 4, the Note 7, Note 8, and now I have the Note 10 Plus. I love it.

Gonna be busy this weekend... rip up to Rumney, NH to get something, that I have been trying to get back for 11 or 12 years....

Gonna start here, and do other things(UCAs, bushing, etc) if needed. Already banking on UCAs... but, want to see alignment first.

Yup. Looks like I'm averaging about 2k miles per month though. If I keep up that average that's 100k in 4 years so Dec '23. I already have plans for KY in the fall and Florida this winter as a bomb down the coast and escape the cold. BUT If I get to Charleston and it's warm enough, I'll just hang out in IOP for a few days instead. And a bunch of Maine and VT trips in between  my UP trip is probably not going to happen this year :( AND a trip up to Tuk, that will add some miles, but that's way off.

I have a feeling I'll cook the drivetrain before the frame rot gets me - if I'm at 200k in under 10 years, I'll probably sell it off then and not worry about the frame. BUT I am taking care of the frame anyway with woolwax.

That may be your last - LG got out of the smart phone market. I had a G2 in the past and it was a good phone. I have an LG TV and washer/dryer too and am happy with them.

I’m at 37.4xx on my ‘18 with mostly using wife’s car for weekend/road trip use. The 44 mile round trip commute adds up. Took the venza to Acadia just so the boys would have a distance between them in the back on a 4:45 drive. The taco had more storage and rack space but I’d have a 3&5 yo directly next to each other in the back. No thank you.

and we both rock iPhone 12 pro 256’s because content/memory creation.

I have the Samsung s21 plus with the 256 hard drive. It's nice, huge and excessive but I need the extra battery life when I'm traveling. The memory is excessive but they didn't have the smaller size HDD in stock.

So far I am on my second one. I have a chip on the screen, the first one died randomly after 2 months - screen just stopped displaying. I have it in an OtterBox case at the moment.

Photos are amazing on it, the wide angle lens is awesome and I use it all the time. Otherwise it's a phone/camera for me. I don't really do much else except browse social media.

I love my Note 10 plus. I had the note I think 4 previously, and it was awesome too. Really I just like drawing dicks on stuff I take pictures of with it. The SD card slot is definitely a plus. I usually keep my phones for 3-4 years though, so the high initial cost didn't bother me as much.

Changed out the steering rack bushings in my LC yesterday on my back in the driveway. That was...sweaty. And I got some burns on my back form the hot pavement. But steering is much improved, so that's a win. Only took 3 hours with running to 2 different lowes to get a flex head 19mm wrench for the rear pass side mounting bolt. And a lot of sweat/ grease but overall super simple. If the tacomas are similar I 100% recommend doing it if you've got higher mileage. I know my FJ had shot rack bushings, and my taco before that too.

thanks for confirming my suspicions for when I’m due for an upgrade here soon. Will stick to the old style with the button :D

not to nitpick. SSD not HDD. Solid state drive vs hard disc drive. We don’t have HDDs in phones it’s all solid state memory. But same concept - storage space.

I had a half day at work I went home around 130 started weeding and yard work. That was toasty.
