Hello, I have a wiring noob question. I have a dash cam installed that has a small button that switches the view settings, the button itself is just a click button connected to a barrel plug that goes in the camera.
I want to place that button into one slot on the dash.
Could I use your standard harness with a ch4x4 switch and connect the other two wires to replace the camera view button or do I need a custom harness?

 

That might be a momentary switch but I don’t know for sure. Shoot me a PM and I’ll take a look at your camera to see if we can’t hack it.

 

If it is momentary you can convert aftermarket toyota short and tall switches to momentary function by removing a small part from the switch.

Harnesses should be up on retailer websites within the next few weeks and I will also be replenishing shortly. For now I still have a bunch of under-HU harnesses (you can repurpose these to the left of the steering wheel if you have a 2018+) and overhead harnesses. Left of steering wheel (cargo light) and daisy chains will be replenished in about 2 weeks.

 

Some left of steering wheel and daisy chain harnesses are currently on their way to my door. The left of steering wheel harnesses have been revised to improve fitment with the factory cargo light connector.

For 2LO? I can always tell when a batch of 2LO harnesses becomes available because I have had 30 people ask for MT below the HU the last week .

I do have a solution for MT below the HU. However, the demand is very low compared to the others, so I crimp them by hand vs order them from a factory in bulk. With that said, the price is higher than the other harnesses and there is typically a wait time. Just shoot me a PM if you wanna order one
