Me too. Fireworks stands are up all over out here. We are in stage 1 fire restrictions pretty much everywhere now but people barely follow that.


A fire lit up here already right by Red Lodge. It's over 30k acres now and nearly came into town. 29 buildings destroyed and only 60%ish containment. Dude started it was on a dirt bike, on a closed trail area, was off trail of that and was trying to fix it when "gasoline went everywhere" and then he was checkin his spark plug and sparked the gas that was on the ground. Poof. Huge fire that had the potential to destroy the whole town of Red Lodge.

Been good. Staying busy. Too busy honestly..I just went camping for the first time this year last weekend. Pretty sad..

 

Damn dude, I'm up to three and my truck isn't even a truck right now

 

Yeah pretty bad considering where I live. Gotten out plenty for day trips and things. Just no camping.

I often wonder if because I live so close and in kind of the stuff some people chase I have less "need" to go out and do it. Plus work in it.

well I didn't mean it that way. Like I said, still going out pleny fishing(more attempting) hiking and stuff. Just no overnight stuff. weekends have become more important to go shopping in Billings for groceries and stuff. So yeah idk. Plenty of day trip stuff.

 

Western WA in general doesn't have it, it's not even standard on new builds (and why would it be when even a cardboard box on a 1/16 of an acre is in the 800k range)

 

Yeah kind of interesting to think about I guess.

I can tell you it's hot AF trying to get some work done in the Butte library right now.

I left Arizona to get away from this shit well mostly to get away from the people but also this weather. I'm convinced it followed me

 

I desire to get further into the mountains when I live in the valleys. Anywhere but a city.
