Not as happy as I am for you to teach me Randall. I miss you........and Tyler.

@Mobtown Offroad made both sets of my bolt on sliders. Without being too dramatic, or insensitive, I still say that the @Mobtown Offroad armor I had on my first Tacoma made all the difference when it flipped over. My drivers side windows didn't even shatter as it spun around.............and it was all bolted on. I'm an average Joe so I attribute it all to the quality of the materials use, and the construction and assembly of it. This is why the only armor I will buy is Joes.

One or two things modded... Check out the build thread
Not only the welding on all 4 sides to "seal" the spot it sits against, but also it eliminates the slight movements from vibration that acts as a vibration point to further degrade the steel, both on the frame and the slider leg. Not to mention you can utilize weld through primer to help stave off rust behind the welded plate as well.

Long story short, eliminate the movements/vibration and "seal" the contact area and it is as protected as it can get... bolt on doesn't properly allow for either, especially the elimination of the slight movements.

Don't give him that much credit. I said he could weld but he's no Jedi.

That’s always the answer. But again I wouldn’t chop them off and weld them back on. Limp them along until you get good enough at welding. Then cut them off and weld some 4xinnovations on there. It’s like $300 shipped for a set

Fucking kids, that's the problem in this country. TL ; DR !? What if the apostles said TL ; DR !? What if Henry Ford said TL ; DR !? Or Neil Armstrong!? You think NASA handed him the Apollo mission handbook and after a nap he said TL ; DR !? You tell me, Is it Blue Suede Shoes or did Elvis get the lyrics incorrect because it was TL ; DR !? Pretty soon it will just be ; DR. Then DR, then R, then what? Just _____ blanks?

Agree. Same thing happened to me on one of my brake fittings after working on the truck one day. Never touched the fitting, and it wasnt leaking before I worked on my truck that day, but somehow it loosened up. Tightened it back down and monitored for next week and it was fine. Could've been very bad if i didnt know it was leaking.

A quick run to chick fil a and no more leaks so fingers crossed. Gonna drive the truck to work tomorrow too since that’s 30 min each way and is always a good shake down. I try and drive as much as possible after doing work if there’s a trip coming up, so I can work out any kinks.
