Updated version. The yakima rollers and cradle are awesome, takes me 30 seconds to load up by just setting it up there then giving it a shove. Doesn't go anywhere on the highway either.

Thats what i do with 2 ten footers. Have driven hundreds of miles no issues. Only annoying thing is removing the factory tonneau to do it.

I know it's not what you're looking for but I have 5 kayaks to haul around when the whole family goes. The little one goes in the bed.

When it's just me I put the big hobie in the bed with a hitch extender.

My wife and I would like to have a set up like this on our new Tacoma as well but have no idea how to begin. Would you be able to share more photos? I can’t figure out how the cross bars would be mounted? Thanks in advance!

These particular crossbars mount to the bed cleats on the second or third gens. Don't have this truck anymore, but hopefully this gives you an idea.

I have 2 10-foot Pelican Mustangs. Both fit in the back of the Access Cab ( 6-foot bed ) under the BakFlip MX4 Tonneau and then up out of the bed.
I believe if arranged a bit better, facing each other instead of one flat and one angled they would ride better, but with some dinky bungie cords they
were fine. I think I'd make sure the 'seats' / 'openings' were down if I hit the highways to keep air from getting in and possibly causing issues.

If these were 8 footers they would lie down even better.

Leaving Cape Coral, FL after fishing the flats and canals for a week. Yakima rack is the way to go.
