Called the 8 dealerships within 100 miles of me, all of them say they cannot sell me a Pro Grill since my VIN won’t allow it. I’d rather buy an OEM one but if it isn’t possible I’ll be ok with a good fitting knock off. Any suggestions?

So why not check the Used truck sites for a TRD Pro... copy the vin # down in the advert
then call a dealership to order the grill, and when they ask you your Vin# you read out the one from the add.

Tried that. They told me the vehicle I gave them was listed as owned by a dealership. I’m willing to try that again with a few other dealerships though.

I’ll try to find my brothers old window sticker and give you his VIN via PM. He had a 2019 TRD Pro with the garnish.

No prob. He traded it in, but someone bought it a few days after the Ford dealership listed it on their site.

See is the dealer can do a local search of the area. My dealer did that and like 6 were within 30 miles of my location. Thats how I got mine. For some reason the 2016 and 2017 were like $400 plus, I got mine and oem garnish for $280 a few years back.

You appear to be correct, I had not looked prior to posting, just figured it was readily available.

I like many here took a chance on a cheap China made Pro grill and it worked out just fine! I paid $140 for both grill and garnish plate and it looks fantastic and I have had zero issues with the TSS sensor. If you can get an OEM one for a reasonable price then that is great. But if not, the knockoff's seem to work out pretty good for most folks.

Thanks! Can you tell me where you got yours? I’ve seen some from The Taco Garage and MC Auto. It’s hard to find a knock off that doesn’t have very mixed reviews.

I got mine through MC Auto as I really liked the ability to color match the "Toyota" letters on the grill to my truck body paint. The white letters on the grill look fantastic on my white Taco. It's been on my truck for over 6 months now and I have not had a single issue the entire time.

PS: if you let mixed reviews bother you, then you will never buy anything from the internet ever again! :)

eBay. Lots of dealerships will sacrifice a VIN and purchase those parts and sell them on eBay.

Dumb question I’m sure, but if I wanted to buy an OEM Pro Grill what years can I buy that will fit and hold the TSS sensor? I do not have front camera. Also, someone told me I’ll have to buy an additional black bezel that goes around the grill to replace the chrome one. Is that correct? If so, has anyone dipped it instead with success?

2018 and up came with TSS, if you are buying the knock off most sites will offer the tss garnish for an additional $24-$50. You would NOT have to buy an additional bezel.
