    Afternoon, y'all..

Been lurking in here admiring everyone's machines. Wanted to show off a pic i found of my grandfather on his Farmall M. I practically grew up on his farm.. and that M was an important piece of it. He passed away in 06, but i still have found memories of him on that tractor.

I'm building a house on a couple acres that used to be part of his pasture land. Maybe i can get Ol Red up and running again one day.

    Reserected from the dead.
    Finished up the trailer...mostly.

I have a latch on the gate that isn't quite aligned to my satisfaction.

I have to mount a spare tire bracket. I like to wait until I tow it once empty. If the trailer is a bit "darty" , I'll mount the tire forward of the axle. If it tows fine, I'll mount it rearward.PXL_20210630_000103889.jpg PXL_20210630_000327029.jpg PXL_20210630_000053521.jpg

Dad had a hammer mill we used to grind corn with for pigs he ran off a John Deere 730 diesel belt. Also ran a rear saw on a 140 with a belt, OSHA would have a field day with that :D

Never had anything that ran off the belt drive. I have been to a few 'Ole Farm Days shows in Denton and Dacusville NC and have seen some machines run off of them.

When I was a kid, me and my cousins were my grandfather's hay crew. He baled square bales with a John Deere 4400 and a New Holland Hayliner. The Farmall would run a New Holland Automatic Bale wagon. He'd dump a load at the barn we were filling at the time, and we'd load the conveyor belt to the loft.

We used to go to Denton and stay all week, for many years. Haven't been in 4 years, it got so expensive and it's so hot and dusty we couldn't take it anymore. Plus it's the same stuff year after year.

Yep I still itch from grinding milo. And my ears still ring from the front mount buzz saw. OSHA inspector would have a coronary lol.
