Just ordered a set of Hammer hangers, shackles and a U-Bolt Flip kit. Will post some photos of the install once they and the Deavers arrive.
A big thanks to Eric for his help.

September is about right. History here is I already tested the HD on the shop Tacoma, and I would like test the MD on my truck as well to verify lift and load capacity hit my estimates

I've already tested HD and MD for the 1st gen Tundra with great results, so following same method for the Tacoma

Copy that. September may be perfect timing for me. If your mediums are 300 to 600 lb estimates that could be ideal.

@ARCHIVE anything in the works for us stock weight guys who want a mild lift (say less than 1.5" out back) but want to take full benefits of the better ride quality of the HH?

If nothing is in the works, do you recommend something? Right now I have a 1" block out back, but would like a better riding solution.

Sounds like right up my alley :)

Pre runner lift pack, hammer hangers, should be a buttery smooth ride.

Ran into this when I recently re-cycled my rear and went hydros. The problem is the geometry of the lower mount being further outside on the axle than the bump itself. When you articulate the shock collapses more being further away from the pivot point but is fine with vertical travel.

The shitty part is that you'll loose vertical bump if you reset the lower mount to "fix" the issue. Personally, I decided to let it go and see what happens. The shock will take the abuse at slow speed which is the only time this circumstance occurs but it's less than ideal either way. The difference between your situation and mine is my hydro bump engages (not fully collapsed) before the shock bumps so there will be additional bottom out resistance.

1.5" with about 220 lbs in the bed over stock weight. That's option 1.

How would you lose vertical bump? You'd lose droop because you're clocking the mount downward. If you correct it so you're bumping out while articulated, that just means at full vertical bump you'll have a little more shock shaft exposed but you'll still have the same amount of vertical up travel.

Exactly. If you have unused shaft on the shock at vertical bump you're loosing potential up travel. The goal in cycling my rear and redoing the lower mounts was to get the most bump as possible. I even lost a little droop which is fine because I have Dakars and they lock out with the Hammer Hangers at full droop.

I guess it just depends on your perspective and terminology but I understand what you're saying. He's not "losing" up travel by correcting it because the amount of vertical up travel isn't changing. He'll actually lose a bit of droop but at least his expensive shocks will be properly protected. It's a no-brainer of a fix IMO.

I don't disagree with that statement. I can fix shocks though and my bump stops are adjustable so if it doesn't work out well I can make those changes.

We're not meeting eye to eye on the vertical travel though. Possibly because his bump height is set. I made my own mount so I could move the bump to where I wanted it, allowing more freedom of travel within existing parameters (shock length).

I think that's the disconnect, fixed bump vs adjustable bump because in that instance it makes more sense to say you're "losing" out on vertical up travel because you can easily move the bump up and voila, more up travel. In that scenario, I would lean towards agreeing with you. For him though, I think it makes sense to fix it.
