Still think TITNC3: Return of the Iceberg was peak

ASO is going to come up close to dicks, and their sitting at $100 right now. I would say ASO to hit 80 by next summer.

 

What does this mean? How do they come to that?

Edit: I know how BP works on a normal trade, but this looks weird.

if aso doesn’t venture into more blue states they’re gonna be limited.

dicks looooooves selling yeti and under armour to the blue states, while pretending to be an outdoor store, huuuuuge margins.

aso is an actual outdoor store. Stuff like guns and ammo don’t get those kind of margins. Even though those items fly off the shelves.

eta: great story but I’m a little bearish on them.

 

Where i live there is an Academy and dicks/field&stream within 5 miles of each other and academy beats them in every way. mainly because field&stream took a liberal stance on guns so people around here tend to disagree with that view so they protest with their wallets.

also the academy is the largest one in the state if not the country. i want to say its the largest in the country but I'm not 100% sure of it.

 

No one buys anything from Dicks sporting goods here. For one, you can get it half priced absolutely anywhere else. You get the guy that sits behind the desk that goes and pays retail for something that he cant use but other than that, idk how they're in business here. Must be all online sales.

Yes, so this is on Webull.

At the bottom I selected "Covered Stock" and "Sell". That was the premium it suggested.

Is that different than a covered call? Would I just sell a "single option" call and not a "covered stock"?

That makes more sense. BP used goes to $0 and premium is $40 instead of $300.

 

Appears ASO is in like 15 states and DICKS is in 47? So maybe ASO just has a lot of expansion possibilities

Just the single option. Choose your stock, go to the options, single option, calls, choose the strike/date. Sell, when you sell it should give you a notice you are agreeing to sell 100 shares on or before x date for X price, blah blah….then it will show in your list of assets as covered.

Here in MN, dicks is a glorified jogging store. I went there once, it was all clothes and shoes, no fishing, no kayaks, no hunting, no camo, nothing.
