    You rock!

The DD site has the dimensional drawings for the SS3 included in each product's image. So when I pull up the round bezel, it has the drawing right there, which is really nice. Interestingly, the DD SS3 round is actually a slight oval (according to their drawing), though that shouldn't matter much.

I'm leaning towards round lights aesthetically based on it being a mid-80's rig ;), but the bumper is fairly skinny horizontally, so I won't have much room to deal with. Using the square bezel on the SS3 would probably be easier... I never do anything easy though ;)

I'm struggling with who is better at spending my hard earned money. So far, it's a tie between you and @crashnburn80. I'm thinking I need a set of SS3 Max flood pattern pods for interior lighting thanks to you guys.

Hey now, remember that the pro lamp actually posts higher numbers than the max in the flood optic.

Here's an overview of the new light, though they don't touch on the fog pattern much (or at all?). Maybe they'll have a different video for the fog optics. What is new is the "wide" optic, which at 50° it's looking to be a blend between driving (18°) and fog (80°+).

We all have our vices...
I also thought it was odd that they didn't hit on the SAE/Fog pattern in the vid considering it is the premier offering. I'm still waiting on power draw specs on the SAE/Fog variety too. I'm guessing they are still putting together the data sheets.

I see the SAE is offered, but won't ship till September. I'm theorizing that maybe they might be waiting on the SAE cert? If it's like any other gov organization it probably takes forever. After looking through the online docs I don't see any output shots for fog patterns there either.

According to DD, the SSC1 fog optic is also the only one that is using the Max (Osram HX boost) chip.

The rest are using the standard sport/pro chips.

Awe shucks, your making me blush! haha

I hope someone does a side by side comparing the SAE fog options between the SSC1 and SSC2. Those SSC1's will HUGE in the motorcycle and powersports industry! I've already got plans for my KTM....

Now that I am doing this full time and the new website is up I will get back to the YT videos so I got you. I planned to do something this week (wasn't going to be light comparison though working on a new rig for testing), but it is BOILING here even at night.

I can always count on solid questions from the crew here! Love it!

We're not expecting it to be the "premier" offering just because there's not TOO many mounting options. We are expecting Wide to be the most popular as it's the most versatile. The Wide is a flood pattern that's been squeezed together a bit... good general spread for everyday offroad use.
The SSC1 fog option was not planned until recently, when we realized we had to have it for the Bronco Sport! Can't just throw a Wide, non-SAE pattern into your fogs... right? That setup is coming soon! The delay on the actual fog version though is final tweaks on that mold. It's tricky to make our fog optics due to the high pressures required to form the optical features.
Very close! The SSC1 Sport uses a 10W chip used in SS3 Pro. The SSC1 Pro uses a new 20W chip. The SSC1 fog uses the Max chip which is a highly-focused 20W chip. It's not higher power than the Pro option, so we're not calling it Max. It just provides more focus, to create the SAE fog pattern. It's also more expensive than the less-focused 20W chip, which is why the SAE option is more expensive.

So the SSC1 sport uses the XPL-hi, SSC1 Pro uses... sst40? SFT40 maybe? Am I in the ball park?

The OEM yellow Sports and Pros still come with a 4000k emitter so you could swap a clear lens onto them for that color temp.

Ah I see, thanks for the clarification! 20W is a great amount of power to pull from a light this size. I see you touched on that with the BD S1 comparison.

Ok great. Thanks. I noticed the darker yellow/amber lens on the fog lamp model and a lighter yellow on the sport/pro, just wanted to make sure before i ordered.
