Hope to have it done by the end of this week. I swear it’s the last variation it will go through.

 

Highest temp on the ride home was 105.8 degrees. I'd rather be riding in 13 degrees. I don't get how Arizona/Texas/wherever folks do this shit, it is a hair dryer to the face

 

I'll do 80s and even 90s, no problem, when riding anyway. More like 70s when I'm off the bike!

The Marine Corps makes you a wimp, not strong, haha. I don't want to be cold OR hot ever again!

Headed to Guam in a few weeks where its always hot and humid. Should be a wake up after this South Dakota winter . . .

They've finally lessened up their covid crap so we are headed to see the wife's family for the first time in two stinking years! No work, all play. I'm glad I was never stationed there. In my opinion, not a single military goon over there should be let off base under any circumstance. All they do is ruin the island haha. We will be there for a while month. Stoked to finally go back, but super bummed that we're not headed to Palau this time around. If you ever get a chance to go to any of the outer islands, do it!! Is your lady Chamorro, Chuukese, Pohnpeian? If she's Palaun we're probably related through marriage haha.

Nice, they'll at least know the family name ha. Good red dirt riding on Guam! Lots of little dual sports out in the middle of nowhere (if that's possible on a 8 x 3 mi. island). If we move there permanently I'll be getting an XT250 again. The highest speed limit is 35 mph for the most part so it's perfect haha.

After I get my GFC, lets camp there. Thats where I go to camp mostly. George Washington is closest. Usually can take the bike there too. Trails arent too difficult. Id take my Scrambler..

 

It’s what we learned to ride in from the beginning. Probably why a lot of us old grey beards ride in boots, jeans, vest/cut, and a bandanna in the hot months.

Was it all blacked out? I saw one like that all the time. Talked to a kid with a tan one once as well.

 

Riding home on Monday at around 104* I tried opening my visor to get a little relief and it was like a blast furnace to the face. It was more comfortable to keep it closed and get the little bit of air moving through the vents.

It's currently 64* and overcast, the ride in to work this morning was awesome.

 

Can I just say, who knew a motorcycle would be this fun. I mean I always knew I wanted one, but I never realized just how badly I needed one

The more I ride, the more I want to ride lol. was gonna go for a quick 20-30 minute ride yesterday...when I checked the clock it was about an hour or so that i'd ridden lol. time really flies riding.

 

Right! Got my first bike 15 years ago. I'll never forget "finishing" a ride, pulling up to the house, stop, about to get off, aaaahhhhh just another lap . . . rinse and repeat all day every day haha. It's the only hobby that will get you to try to get groceries for the family for a week to fit in a backpack just so you can ride for a few more minutes in the day! haha

 

Haha yup. I'm still very green around the gills and already considering on commuting with the bike. partly for the gas savings, mostly for the fun lol
