So my taco which is a budjet truck has a set of 30x9.5r15 general grabbers on it. When I first got the truck the front tires were cupped really bad. I replaced the blown shocks and springs in the front and moved the cupped tires to the rear.

2 of the tires just will not balance out it seems...were talking 17oz of weight.

Will I be able to smooth out the cupped tires by running them on the rear? I really don't wanna spend money on new tires...and finding 1st gen pulloffs are about near impossible.

It's funny cause the shake from the tires comes and goes...I drive 500 miles a week and mainly interstate which works out in my favor because 70mph is where they smooth out.

So is there any hope for curing them by running them on the rear.

Nope just went through with a brand new set of 5. Balanced and within 2 weeks the scalloping started and the shaking, went back and had them all re balanced and 3 days later the same shit. I hear this a lot about General Grabbers and KO2's as they are almost the same tire and tread pattern. I sold all of them with the wheels and borrowed a friends set of 2021 TRD Sport wheels and tires. Then bought a new truck instead, but anyway I owned those tires for a little over a month and they sucked ass.

Bead balancing your tires will avoid any issues.

Definitely agree on that but not many places do that, at least not here in Mass

Order and do them yourself. You dont even have to take the wheel off of the truck.

You have to break down the tires dont you?

I can get some falkens for like $550...but I only paid 2800 for the truck and the wheels...well there not pretty.

The cupping will not be cured by balancing or running on the rear.

Solve the suspension problems, then replace the tires.

suspension. I hate to spend the money on new tires right now.

These though are getting unbearable at 60 you can see the tires on the rear bouncing in the rear view. I can't run 70mph everywhere lol

They ain't gonna get better. They will continue to get worse.

FIX the suspension FIRST. Then get new tires. Otherwise, you are wasting your time and your money.

    Good luck.
